Building a PC for VR gaming 

I get your point but i think one of the biggest draws to getting a pc is that it’s upgrade able. But i do agree if you can afford it over spend a bit so you don’t have to upgrade in a year

@@VRLINK true enough with general purpose PCs, but I doubt many gamers upgrade major components. If I buy a new next gen video card, my motherboard and CPU are likely going to hold it back for example. Maybe it’s just me, but I build a new PC from scratch every few years. I also have the funds to go balls to the wall with all the best parts so I have the best possible gaming experience.

Honestly in VR, you can't have any bottleneck. It's like choosing a monitor for gaming. If you want to game in 4k, there is less power on the CPU and more on the GPU. Well, the same applies for VR. I have an RX 6950 XT and while it's bottlenecking in 1080p normal gaming, It's perfectly fine when jumping into VR. VR games these days are soooooo demanding and vr headsets resolutions are really high, you can't go wrong spending money all in the GPU and get something like Ryzen 5 5600x or an I5 11 or 12 Gen. @VRLINK (hope I works)

Honestly the 40 series is amazing if money is no issue, but honestly from 3060 and up your good i can run every vr game I’ve tried with no problem on medium settings and some on max and i have the 3070. I would say do your research so you don’t over spend and see what GC matches what your looking for then go from there

you can do this if you get a ATX Micro Mobo with like an AMD 8000 series CPUs, which are integrated graphics. Any AMD G series or.... If you've got the money..., you can get a micro ATX board for the AMD Theadripper series! This this would allow you to create a very mobile and powerful VR setup(Keep that system cool!!!!). Don't mean to be a Team Red guy but my income rate pushes me in that direction.

Yup i would only recommend a laptop if you travel a lot or just need something portable

As long as you have a 3070 you should be pretty good
