Totem should be a trident with a dispatchable "horns", also one of the first three tribes should be "Hades" instead of "Athena" (it would make all tribes named after trinity of God-brothers) or if there would be just two tribes, it could be called "Athena" (patron of Athens) and "Ares" (patron of Sparta) so to recreate great conflict between two ancient powerhouses.

Me: *sees in title Atlantis* "Nice, nice" Video: "it will be set in Greece." Me: *smashing the like* "NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!"

Imagine a survivor where 20 contestants start on 1 tribe then at every immunity challenge they split up into into teams to participate in the challenge, then the team that loses goes to tribal and they repeat this process of different teams until the merge (10 contestants) and have individual immunity challenges but the point is for everyone to be on one beach from the get go and switch up of tribes every episode.

Three tribes: Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The camps resemble their respective God. The Zeus tribe is in a mountainous or wooded area, the Poseidon tribe by the water and the Hades tribe on an open plain or a place with lots of stone. The challenges could be based around the Twelve Labors of Hercules.

Loved the twist around the loved one challenge. Removing food is a great idea. I can see this being used in other scenarios too. Perhaps a tribe wins immunity, and they're offered a huge feast AFTER winning if they give immunity away? I would have added the challenge where survivors have to vote for each other in different categories. Who is the most annoying.. Who is going home next... Who would pose nude for playboy (lol). That was a classic and it's a great pause that allows non physical players to win. Final thing... bring back the camp raids. Sandra ripping down the other tribes shelter to steal their tarp was iconic. Great video. Really loved it. Well done!

One idol per beach, with a max of 2 other advantages

I love how much thought you guys put into this, I love the collaboration, and I really like all your ideas, like bringing back a lot of old school stuff and limiting advantages to a few idols. This season needs to happen!!

I just thought of a way to cast, make it like a last chance season to people who have played 2-4 times before and haven't won, and make it like the last chance for them as survivors, and it could be called Atlantis: Sink or Swim

No final 5 "know your comrades" Immunity challenge? Shame, it was great tradition.

I took some notes, and the first thing I did was swap Cell Block Sea and Idol Hands. Main reason is, a showdown-style challenge like Idol Hands doesn't work when there are more than two opponents, especially as an immunity challenge with only one loser, as two tribes could gang up on the third. A challenge where the efforts are mutually exclusive works better for a tri-tribe immunity challenge.

I'd love to see you make a video on solving the tiebreaker problem / creating a "perfect" tie situation. I always hated how the show has done ties. In early Survivor, drawing rocks or answering nature trivia just seems random/too goofy. Meanwhile fire challenges being the go-to, especially for F4 ties, is hella predictable and encourages players to actively pretend to be bad at fire making for 37 days. My personal favorite idea? A wheel of tie-breaker challenges. Jeff spins the wheel, and whatever it lands on is the tie-breaker for the contestants. Maybe if they want to avoid (unluckily) the same one tie all season, they could replace used tie-challenges with "Spin again" once a challenge is used for the season? The wheel could have any number of tie-breakers. Here are 14 ideas for tie-breakers such a system could use: - A puzzle challenge (Any type, small) - Memory challenge (Remembering the order of something, details of a story, etc.) - Small Dexterity challenge (like the final challenge of S32 that Michele won, or the "balancing plates and cups" challenge from China) - Survivor History Trivia (this is ALWAYS a treat, tbh, wish the show did it more) - Fire making challenge - Underwater breathing challenge (Have one big tank of water, would be super cheap for the show to do) - Archery challenge (or throwing stars, slingshot, blow darts, javelin toss, etc.) - Draw rocks (Pure luck only and a call-back to the early Survivor tie-breakers) - Combat challenge (Two players with sacks trying to push each other into water or mud? Or log-rolling, etc.) - Word search (and then word scramble) - Gross Food challenge (SEVERLY missing in modern day Survivor, first person to eat all ten grubs or all three spiders or something) - Spin again (if pre-jury) or "The Jury Decides" (Could lead to some incredible drama, and give jury members a very very small but super exciting chance of effecting the game outside of just the FTC! Jury members get up and votes) - Cumulative past votes added (Throwback to Season one! So if one player received votes in an earlier TC, they would lose the tie) - Chance for idols (allow any player in the game to use an idol at this point to save a player? If no idols played, spin again!) I think a wide variety in options to resolve ties, while also transparency (the players knowing exactly how the ties will be decided) would lead to better overall gameplay, be much more entertaining to viewers and cutback on fire making boredom, etc. Having a huge variety in types of challenges could also prevent ties from being inherently "better" for physical VS mental players. But maybe there's other, BETTER ways to resolve ties. I just wish the show had figured it out like, in the first few seasons, and still not have no good solution after twenty years.

My perfect Survivor season will take place in Greece too. There will only be 18 players, 2 teams, and 9 players in each. The cast will have 8 recruits, 5 super fans, and and 5 casuals, so it wont be the whole cast making big moves. That way, there will be time for other player moments rather than most of the episodes be strategy. There will only be 3 idols (advantages are eww) 2 at each beach which the players wont know about till the 3rd episode where the clue will be sent in the mail. After the 4th tribal council, the teams will swap into 2 teams of 7. After 3 other tribal councils, it will be the merge. Merge~ At final 9, there will be an auction. In the auction, there's obliviously food, but also a clue to 3rd hidden immunity idol, and an advantage for a challenge. Final 4 wont have a fire making challenge, and at final tribal council, it will be the old way of the jury asking or saying stuff to the finalists

I would argue that it is best that all immunity challenges are either physical endurance or a challenge followed by a puzzle/fire. Reward challenges can be fun and pretty neutral so that anyone can win; nothing is more fun to watch than the mud bucket challenge. However, immunity should remain something that people who are good at challenges only win. Outplay is still a major element of Survivor and eliminating it by having the mud challenge for IMMUNITY would all but remove the physical aspect of the game. One particular contestant going on a challenge win streak or posing a physical threat is to some annoying, but it is ultimately part of the game.

They need to change location to add some freshness to survivor again. Pearl Islands, The Amazon, Africa, Australia etc. All these seasons are made better by their location because it gives them character.

Love this idea! The only thing I would change is have it be a final 2, and have a firemaking challenge be the final four immunity challenge but with a much bigger fire with a bigger rope they have to burn in half, and still have the hands on the idol be the final immunity challenge (because how could any true fan not have that).

I was on holiday in Greece a couple of weeks ago and thought that it would make a good locations for a season of Survivor.

Vertical maze

I think a fun idea for a season would be what I thought of when I heard "Island of the Idols." Have returning players not be a part of the game, but instead of isolating them, have each one live at a separate camp, but still not assist in how they live. Rather, have them be like tribal gods/goddesses that the players would try to win over and receive "blessings" from (e.g. because of the shortened duration of the games, have reward winners win random things from the gods/goddesses). And at some point, they can also each select a player to receive their best advantage or curse. To play off the theme in this video, have them be Poseidon (Ozzy), Athena (Cirie), and Aphrodite (Amanda).

Survivor in Greece, Albania or Croatia would be amazing!!

the auction should incentivize people to buy as much as possible... The way you do that is by saying that advantages and clues are hidden in the food/shower. This way you test peoples wanting of a certain food vs increasing a chance of getting further in the game.

I think that would be a bit to soon for the 'gross food' challenge. Personally I think it's a more interesting game when it's a bit further in.

We already had a perfect season, it's called Heroes vs Villains.

What if this was the merge episode: The players return to camp expecting a feast, only find envelopes with $500. Players then go to the immunity challenge and are given a choice: Partake in the Survivor Auction or play for immunity (the challenge wold be an endurance challenge).

Pretty good. I only have a couple problems with it. I would do a 60-40 split on race as that is America's actual demographic split. I would do the merge at 10, with the first merge boot not making being on the jury, and a final 2 with 7 jury members. I would move vertically challenged to the last challenge with the winner of the final immunity being the person to burn the rope first and fallen comrades as the final 4 challenge. I would also have a post merge memory challenge. Finally, the attack zone needs to return at some point, mainly so someone goes full robb and tries to kill someone.

Those challenges are so good

Great job on this season concept guys. I reckon it would make for a fantastic season for the franchise.

So, while this would be excellent, I have only one comment. While seasons HAVE been getting puzzle heavy, removing puzzles to this extent removes one of the core aspects of survivor challenges.

I actually had this really crazy idea for a new season, basically every player starts the season with an idol, but there are no idols hidden at camp. everyone only gets one, idols are non transferable, and there’s a limit of two idols used per tribal. I think this could really bring out some strategic plays, and completely shake up how the game is played. thoughts?

You should make this idea a series! It is so cool!

My format for a newbie season would look something like this: 20 players, 2 tribes of 10, 50% non-caucasian, 4 idols: one at each pre merge camp, two at the merge tribe camp. The theme of the season is "potential vs professional". It follows an underdog vs topdog archetype which has a younger generation seeking success, pitted against an older generation of people who have a lot of experience in their careers.

I feel like survivor seasons need more uniqueness like they did ib the early days. Most he recent seasons all don't have much to make them stand out be it the locations, challenges etc.

I like idea of future survivor season, but I would rather change some things here. I would like to bring the original days back to 39 days, add more cast members, and add some more culture into the season. I don’t think we need a lot of advantages and idols, just want to bring survivor back to become little old school survivor.

What about strategic twists, like the Legacy Advantage, Extra Vote/Vote Steal, and Hidden Idol Nullifiers? And elimination based twists like Redemption Island or Edge of Extinction? Could make for some interesting strategies, maybe even one alliance using the Onion Alliance strategy.

For idols: I think they should be a double edged sword. You get immunity but must suffer a disadvantage from it. Like lose your vote at tribal, be exempt from the next immunity challenge etc.

This could be a very good season. Maybe a few more twists, but you should give the idea to Jeff Probst.

I agree, simplicity is often times best. As time went on the show got more convoluted and as a result less interesting.

For the maze, the sub merged part should be under water, with air pockets.

The story of Atlantis was inspired by the sinking of Santorini, so maybe it could take place there (Santorini is one of the many islands in Greece)
