I chose to not use it because I would have to destroy so much forest-floor by taking the lichen. -My first idea was to dig the floor quite deep for even better insulation and shelter. I will have to try this another time when the ground is softer.

another awesome video man, I've been a fan of yours since the start of Bards Craft. Just wanted to say I was out in the woods the other day collecting some dead wood and had to leave early shortly after arriving because a wood chip flew in my eye. It wasnt a big deal but it sucked to have to leave the forest early because of something so trivial. Does that ever happen to you? I am worried about your eyes now seeing that you dont wear glasses either when you chop. Be safe friend and keep the epic content coming!
@@dancarpio8130 oh yeah I am, I hopped in the shower and just flushed it out easily and there was no damage. It was just annoying and a lesson learned to always wear safety glasses haha
I've been chopping dead wood in the forests for years, never happened to me. Think that was just awful bad luck, and you obviously didn't have to leave the woods that time either if you were fine. Glad you were, btw.

Thank you for today's new video. One thing I want to suggest for you is while watching it, I felt it was too long to build the log hut because I expected to see you make a fire, enjoy your hut and tea and stay or sleep in there. That's maybe most of the subscribers want to share your experience because we can't do that in real life because of many reasons. Just imagine how cozy it many be to stay and work outdoor in the cold nature but we make a fire and sitting before it sipping a tea.

Very good builing of the log cabin, looks really cosy, So much thought went into this, the window and door is a nice touch.. I would imagine its quite hard to gather leaf when the ground is frozen and covered in snow.. Looking forward to the next video...❤

Hi, I'm the one that asked you if you were a model.you basically said no. Well in this video you were even dressed like one. I have a couple questions. How did you make that whole thing stay together. I didnt see you nailing anything,or tieing anything. If a big wind came it would seem that whole thing would fall apart. Also.all the grassy things you put on top. After you did that you had an open fire inside the hut, granted we didnt get the ice bath, but we did get the fire shot on your face. Look, I actually know a lot of people.Calvin KLEIN gave me a suit.I was running a nice rest.in manhattan and he was a regular.ok, I wont say it again. But wow, where did you learn that. It def. Took a lot of work, amazing. Peace!
I am discovering your work! Very inspiring! I don’t know a lot but isn’t it too dangerous to raise a fire inside a tiny woody capsule, especially at night when sleeping? You never had any problem with that? Maybe a cheminey is the key as you mentioned it 😋
Once I finished my own shelters I feel good about it and safe ,comfort sets in piece of mind , peace of mind as there is nothing like haveing a partner that makes a big differance .
Somewhere in the forest in the middle of nowhere is the remnants of these guys cabins meaning if someone were to get lost in the woods these cabins could be shelter for them
