I made this kit years ago when i was first release by Revell for a cousin of mine who got it as a gift. He was too scarred to try and build it, so I went ahead and did it for him. I was a intermediate builder at the time. He loved the finished product and still has it to this day on display. The green paint color I found was available by testors in spray can, so went with that. The decals if I remember were pretty much the same as now, didn't match up on point for screen accuracy. But I loved the interior with the roll cage and NOS bottles and so on. Seeing this build brings back the enjoyment I had. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming parts.
Wow thats nuts, I just bought the Fast and Furious Mitsubishi Eclipse AMT kit a week ago. I did some research. It is 1000x better than the Revell. I just got back into making model cars after a 10 year break, I'm into the F&F line right now, I have OCD so I only do 1/25th scale. Because that's the scale I did before I stopped. I been looking for the Mitsubishi Lancer, But they are very rare and people want $200 on ebay I can't afford that lol. Right now I have the Eclipse, Yenko Camaro and Dom's Charger in primer, Getting ready for paint, I did the Supra and 350z a long time ago, But just touched them up a little last week. I'll probably get Brian's Red Ford Lightning work truck next. You have made me a lot better at making them, Thank you for all the advice.
So you are doing the fast and furious movie cars okay then if you're building any of the early cars from the franchise then what about dom's chevrolet chevelle in fast 4.
@BlackPanther-th4un No problem, i want to suggest going with the revell kit as that one has better chassis for you to detail and a good engine compartment to show off the engine (btw the kit i am saying is the glue version over the snap-together version) as amt kit might be decent in 1/25 scale if you're looking at matching with the line but remember the amt one chassis is okay except its not really accurate per say with compartment being mostly open unlike revell's kit was much closer to the real car so with that help giving by me i have to go see you later.

@BlackPanther-th4un Hmm...🤔🤔 i think the gray one is the best choice to do as it relates to dom's going after bad guys with revenge while brian's is undercover picking an R34 for the job.

Ever since you did the unboxing of the Fast and Furious stuff I have been waiting for these videos. I have built this kit, I am assuming you are using aftermarket wheels and tires, the ones from Revell are way way too small.

You are right to make the kit the way you want and you enjoy, if not, it is not a hobby anymore. I have the same kit, and I would like to make a stock eclipse gsx, do you think it is the way to go using this kit ?
This could be a goo base, i think there are stock bumpers includes, but not the side skirts, It all depends on what they need to look like in the end. Plus i don't think there are other eclipse kits( yes the AMT version, but thats pretty much the same)
@@TheScalemodelingChannel yes but the stock bumper included is not the one I am looking for. I want the one with included lights in it. Don't know if it is the gst or gsx front bumper. Anyway, you are right, it is the only kit available so let's give it a try
What type of light source did you use to dry the Tamiya curing putty? I purchased some, and it recommended uv or fluorescent lighting. After it dries, wipe down with lacquer thinner and then sand. Is this the process you used?
Do you happen to know why, There really aren't many nice foreign super cars, Like Lamborghini, Ferrari and others, Aren't made in 1/25th scale, It seems like mostly the American cars are 1/25th ? It sucks for someone like me that only does 1/25th scale, It just looks stupid having a Lambo look the same size and a charger.or GTO
