Event Sourcing is a powerful architectural pattern for building scalable and resilient systems. However, implementing an Event Sourcing system can be a daunting task, especially if you need to avoid cloud-specific solutions or vendor lock-in.
In this talk, I'll show you how to get started quickly with a very simple yet powerful Event Store, and as your architecture evolves, can be extended with additional functionality.
I'll also demonstrate a set of technologies that play particularly well together to build a complete CQRS-based microservice system where your business logic becomes the pluggable component. With this architecture, much of the complexity has been moved into reusable modules and components, making developers more productive and allowing you to focus on building the features that matter most.
The first half of this talk will focus on the Event Store implemented in Spring and Kotlin using Avro and a relational database. The second half will focus on the surrounding components and modules that handles for instance event distrubution, eventual consistency and more.
