Those little tree plants are so cute and I love that bonsai planter. What happened to the tiny begonia that you planted in it a few years ago or was it last year? I love watching your projects. Your excitement at starting this new space is tangible which makes me feel excited just to watch you throwing ideas around. You are very inspiring to watch. Just wanted to let you know that my old cat is starting to do much better now he is on his Hyperthyroidism medication. I Love your little guy hugging the pot....I have my Grandma's "mud men" antiques...they look very similar...they were made to add to bonsia trees ect....you can Google bonsia mud men.
I just love how the dome looks with that plant! Adorable! And I got three more gaussias so that I can have two triple potted planters. And great palm tree island container!
Wish I was near you it would be fun painting the bricks with bright colors and using them to make a bright walkway going to patio through arch way so I can see at night taking my dog out the yard at night or put under my container garden . Or in front of the open space the critters come through and make me jump when I take the dog out.
My banana plant has FINALLY taken off ! The leaves are massive ! I’m probably going to give it one more shot of fertilizer then call it good for the year. I have bags of mulch in reserve for protecting it this winter, it’s supposed to be a colder than normal winter this year 🥺 hopefully it will come back again for me next spring.🤞🏻 🌺💚🙃
Ok it's a three message day lol but you could take a shovel to that one rare Hosta you showed in a vid a few months back and take that plant and divide it into 4. Hosta's are like little soilders you can take 1 and just use a shovel and cut the root ball into 4 and next year do the same again. I bought 3 rare hosta's and it was pricey but for the price of the 3 I created a ton by division. You can't kill a Hosta if you tried, by the next season they really take off for you. I live off a channel leading out to a lake and the rare hosta's speices I mixed and matched gave it a nice edging to the path. Sketch it out is what I do.

I have to dig up and move Heliconia Dwarf Wag. Having a generator put in and I wasn't thinking about that last year when I planted it. That means giving it a chop and I'm not thrilled because it was probably going to flower soon. Unless you think I can move it without cutting back the pseudostem.

Behind by a few videos, but miss uti kitty had to be put down. All the utis, refusing to drink water and constipation finally caught up to her despite my best efforts. I'm now lost as how to best care for her littermate. Do I wash all the towels, blankets etc & remove all the scent, or leave the unsoiled towels & blankets to slowly fade the scent away?
I'm so sorry! I know you cared for her intensively over the years. Such a sad thing to have to go through! Her littermate may appreciate having her scent around to help ease the transition of being an only kitty now. Maybe will find some comfort in the scent?
@TropicalPlantParty that's what I was thinking...the soiled stuff is now in the wash & I took the trash bags off the couch & chair seat cushions (she clawed holes in the bags so theres probably some scent on there). I want to get a fresh nose in to see how "scented" the back cushions are. Nobody ever said the house smells like cat pee (besides where the boxes are) so I might not do a deep clean on the furniture. Depending on how her sister does being an only pet, we'll consider getting her a companion. (Apparently there's a clear the shelter event this weekend & I said no, give her sister some time to adjust.) Sister has only been a single cat for max 24 hours at a time when miss uti was out for treatment. There's some cleanup I need to do, but miss kitty was spooking at loud noises so I wasn't going to clean the carpet until after.

It’s SO hard to lose pets Or really members of the family. ❤️🌺💚🙃 I just found the final resting spot for my Little Dog several weeks ago. We had to keep her in the freezer because she pasted in January and there was no way to dig a spot for her then. I also kept putting off laying her to rest because even though she was in my freezer it wasn’t final. I know weird but now she’s in a spot in my garden so she can be near me whenever I’m out there. She was SO attached to me because I was the one to take care of her when she came to us, she was a rescue dog no bigger than a minute and afraid of everything. Little Dog will forever be in my heart 💜🌺💚🙃
Her sister is eating more today than she has in awhile. Perhaps it's because I don't need to hide the bowl from miss hollow leg eternally hungry. Or she's not sensing the stress from her sister not feeling great. After my preliminary sniff test, I think there's only 1 seat cushion with a problem. Leftover blankets & towels might have some pee, but hard to tell. The rest of the furniture I smell the pee enzyme destroyer product vs pee. It's so quiet despite not actually being an empty house. I didn't realize how vocal she was until now. I need more sleep...7 hours over 4 days is rough, but we'll get back to normal.
