I made this metal brake purely because I need one for my next project. It mounts on the workbench so it can easily be stored away when not in use. It's 140cm wide and can bend sheets up to about 125cm in width. I used 70x70x6mm angle iron for the main parts.
This is a very common design, you can find many tutorials on how to build these using angle iron as a base. You don't need a mill or lathe for this, you can even build one without welding. This is just my personal take on it. I put three adjustable diagonal supports on it because if you make them this long, they won't be stiff enough unless you use some very heavy gauge material. (If the brake isn't stiff, it will make your bends uneven/inaccurate) So it's a better solution to stiffen them out using these supports, they add a large amount of structure and you can even adjust for a slight bend in your angle iron this way.
