I know its been some months since I've put a video up but these things take time people! In this one I'm building a solid fibreglass wave breaker using a one time use mould made from white board.
Love your series mate. Im keen to see how your wave breaker turns out. Ive never been a fan of window less wave breakers but you may convert me with windows
@@ADVENTURES_ADRIFT all good mate. I am doing my own boat as well so I know the struggles. Maintain the rage though. You are doing a wicked job. I hope to make mine look clean like yours. Ive been hesitant to make molds but you made it look a lot easier than what I had in my head
I wasn’t too keen to start with but it’s easier than you think and comes out great! I think I’m going to make a mould for the well back into the transom as well.
@@ADVENTURES_ADRIFT F it! Just do it! I always tell my kids "If you're going to do a job do it right" and me personally I think if its a job worth doing its worth over doing. You seem very competent in your skills. Id say go right ahead
Hey mate, love the videos, inspired me to build my own boat, just wondering with your wavebreaker and dash molds you’ve glassed into, do you use a waxed or unwaxed resin if you intend on adding more glass afterwards to strengthen up? Keep them coming, cheers
Hey mate, glad you’re getting something out of the videos! I used unwaxed laminating resin and I added more glass to the wave breaker after I glasses it to the boat. I did throw more glass at the breaker lip before it was glasses to the boat as it was easier upside down.
Gazza, with the long days we do trolling it’s essential to be able to sit down and look through windows. I know it compromises the breaker but overall it’s worth it. Additionally my girlfriend is 4 foot tall so she can’t see over 🤣
Good video but you really need to modulate that music!! When you are talking at normal volume and then a fella gets blasted out of his chair with the 'music' it isn't any fun to watch.
