Alaska off-grid cabin fireplace build in less than 4 minutes. Our wood stove needed a stone hearth to live on. Check out my channel for full length video. Thanks for watching I hope you enjoy.
**Original music by me and my buddy Forest Wilson

You need a heat shield behind your wood heater - ceramic tiles work well.

Biggest pan of water you can set on top of it the warmer and no chance of cracking, drying out your wood panels ....2 to 3 gal is normal 4 gal if your running it hot...like 800 Deg.

So you can put a stove up against a wall without fire proofing the wall? Because this creates a fire hazard. Usually they are put in a corner and a brick wall with metal is built behind it etc.

You guys did an awesome job on that my question is that stove looks a little too close to that wood wall. Do you have any plans on protecting that?
