I just uploaded the Sheep & Alpaca Barn and Habitat to the Steam Workshop! Feel free to use it ❤️🐑 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3244923569 & steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3244925603
I know you've been burnt out and not as excited about planet zoo lately but I just wanted to say that I'm so happy to see you creating what YOU want to create and playing how YOU want to play. Thanks for this lovely episode, and take it easy!
I added a a couple of Black Tailed Prairie Dogs to my farm yard. Not as an exhibit animal, but as a wild animal that would be found living in barn yards like this.
24:45 Frontier DID add brown chicks and rooster color morphs recently! They're gorgeous, especially the rooster which have a reddish hue, giving them a classic red rooster look!
I think a great opportunity is the raccoon or red fox like you described. Create a 'behind-the-scenes' backdrop that looks like farmwork/sheds and equipment but it can actually be a sneaky habitat for raccoons or the red fox.
Water buffalo farms are quite common in the Netherlands, so i think it could be a good idea. Also fallow deer can be common in petting zoos, but only the female and young ones in the enclosure.
I'm from Minnesota and we've had a petting zoo longer than I've been alive and the animal staples they've always had were emus and goats, however, all the animals get moved in the winter. Apparently when it first opened in the 60s or 70s they had a lion. 😳
I want to suggest some bigger farm animal, if the space allows for it. Some form of cow perhaps? Would make sense in a petting zoo. Especially, if the game has some fuzzy variant of it. Kids would probably love it. And adults, too :D
Really love that project, It's so cozy and beautiful! I think the African Crested Porcupine can fit well, they are a lot of times in farm areas trying to search for food, and in zoos they are very common in petting zoo/children's zoo area!
Been waiting for this since Yesterday, I went to my local Zoo, and thats being divided roughly into sections, and I thought that when you start you next big zoo project, you could work on it, like you're doing the farm, one section at a time, rather than being lik4, Pandas on this side, Deer all the way on the opposite side. That way you could do like Mini-series on each section as you build up a bigger zoo. I also think having free build would be a good idea for putting really small offshoot trails around for the guest to just adventure around and see new plants or water features. Again something my local zoo does, which just adds to the adventure. Also, I lve in the NW of England, we have Ostriches/Emus on farms up here. For the deer suggestion, you could just do a wooded area down one of the slopes, almost as if the farm is nestled next to a nature reserve, or in some deep country side. I live in a built up area, but we also have deer close by.

Thank you for answering my question about a collab with Rudi! It's just so cozy to watch videos of you guys doing a collab. Also I think we should name the little one Frostie 😅I know from back in the days, people were asking for a facecam while playing. Do you think that's something you will do in the future?
Emu are actually a common alternative for beef cattle for folks like my parents who are allergic to red meat, there's quite a few emu farms in america! But it is ultimately up to you if you want to include them or not
I grew up on an emu farm in Idaho! My grandparents raised emu’s from the time I was maybe 2 until I turned 16! Was a very unique experience to grow up on one!
I was thinking recently that a butterfly garden might be a fun thing to build especially in a setting like this. That's not something you would necessarily find in a zoo but lots of people put them in their gardens and a farm is a big garden!
Hey DeLady! I get so excited when you post a new video. I find them so calming. I look forward to the evening when I can sit down with a cup of tea and watch your videos! Ahhh heaven! 🥰
I'm honestly surprised how much I love these chickens... usually I only like them fried...made things a little awkward when I had to take care of some for one of the internships lmao 😂🤣
@@DeLadysigner I didn't eat any of them I swear. But the most awkward moment (other than that porcupine story I told you a while back) involved our deer. During deer season, our zoo allows hunters to donate what's left of the deer they shot so we could could feed them to the wolves. However, we first had to carry the remains to our big freezer... which was right next to the deer habitat...we would literally tell the deer not to look... but they were bad listeners
O remember trying to make an animal encounter habitat with the highland cattle as my first barnyard animal, and thought the small animal gate broke the habitat, and then i soon realized that i forgot the habitat gate
Fellow Dutchy here. There is actually a 'hertenkamp' in Hoogeveen where they also have emu's. I love your idea for the red fox habitat going around as a backdrop! But honestly do whatever inspires you. It always shows when you're really excited for a build 😊
Having a deer species in a "zoo" like this is actually quite common. In new zealand you can buy feed and hand feed them and pat them. Both red deer and fallow deer. Emu and ostriches are found in zoos like this in nz and Australia although you usually cant interact with them. Love your zoos, you're very talented
The fox idea could be a pretty neat easter egg to maybe add when all the other barnyard animals are finished. As for the fallow deer, I think they could be a good addition - we have some at the petting zoo close to where I live!
What about a run down windmill/flourmill with a walkthrough habitat where a load of butterflies can hang out? Definitely think butterflies would be a cool addition. Loving the farm so far!! :)
I really like the idea of the deer, in the Netherlands where I'm from there are a lot of petting zoo and there's like big habitats with chickens, swan, goats (like the mini ones), deer living together
I love it! I love chicks ❤️🐥 should the hen have something to sit on inside? They like to get up from the ground. And these haybeds to lay eggs? I hear you about the horses.. Buuut, I would love to see them in here! 😍
It would be amazing if planet zoo had a co op gamemode, i think multiplayer would be too much but 2 people could be a thing. building a zoo with your friend would be so fun, it would also make collabs easier!
Could always put ostriches in as well 😂. I'm in the USA and in my state in a small town outside my city my step sister and I randomly stumbled upon a ostrich farm. It was so cool😂
Barnyard pack kinda relight our love for this game I guess. Like I always said I am not a big builder but created a zoo including only walk by exhibits. Which looks nice and kinda exciting. Your videos always makes me get more creative and patient with building. Thanks for new one. For new addition to zoo I picked Donkey which is one of my favorite farm animals along side goats just like in real life.
Everything you build is just so incredibly inspiring! I know you aren’t really feeling planet zoo lately but I just want you to know how much I love your videos and your style! I play on console but I still try to build like you 😂
Wouldn't it be cool if we could resize the building pieces? Perhaps it's due to the mesh...sometimes you have problems resizing mesh, and it can mess up the textures. Maybe they wanted to keep it simple. I don't know, but it would be cool. I would think having less pieces in the world would help keep the lag down. But, I am coming from being a builder in Second Life and that's a bit different. Your farm is coming along nicely! Cheers!
We have a petting zoo in Noordwijk (The Netherlands) that has emus/ostriches, deer, sheep, goats, peafowls, geese, chickens, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, mice, horses/ponies, pigs, cows, donkeys, and more. Sadly in 2017 the government threw a fit and stopped support, so instead of being privately owned, it's now governed by the government. They got rid of a lot of animals and changed everything for the worse. Even the old-style barn now no longer has hay roofing.
Weirdly enough, in England, at least where I’m from, farms often have meerkats, wallabies, emus. I don’t know if they’re cheap to keep, but it’s common!
Hahaha LOL YES, it is! I want to test if it works... I saw it in someone else's video, and before I realized this green thumb was on the screen, I hit the thumbs up of the video... and I was like, 'Oh, that's interesting!' I am just going to test and see if this will work to make viewers realize they might want to click the thumbs up as well, without me saying it 😅. Worth a try, because you know... we need to deal with that stupid RU-vid algorithm... 😂 Was it too annoying? 🙈 Too big? Too long? All feedback is more than welcome! ❤
@@DeLadysigner I just wasn't expecting it, so i was a bit surprised is all. The circle/thumb could be a little smaller, but saying that i don't know how noticeable it would be on mobile if it were smaller.
It's weird that your guests won't enter the coop ... I built one with a little shelf and hay for the chickens to "nest" on, and I'm always finding guests walking on the nests! You just have guests who are more polite I guess :D
This might seem weird but I've seen lots of wallabys in farms, and lots have actually been albino??? I know its strange but i think they'd be a nice addition to your build 😅
I wish franchise mode was working, as the trade center and tabs for general zoo maintained. Are refusing to load for me, and it’s been reported. I hope it’s being fixed because the game is currently unplayable in franchise mode.
I feel like an exhibit animal like a mouse would have been fun, or maybe like a barn owl, i can only see owls be added in a bird pack and i doubt that is going to happen.
Heyo, how do we find this map to build on? i dont seem to find it anywhere. Im usually playing on franchise, but maybe its a map that you only can find on sandbox? Btw, loving theese videos of yours, and this park is turning out great! Superkozy!
I still think that the skunk and porcupine would make a great addition to this zoo. They hang around homesteads frequently and I’ve also seen them in a few petting zoos.
I think they should have added mice or rabbits or some other small rodents i know it seems weird but i like them lol. and we have swans but i would have wanted ducks and geese.
I dont know if you agree with thisbut i wish we could bulid like how you can bulid in the sims 4, like it would be so much easier for beginners and stuff
The red fox idea is amazing you should do it !! Build like a small forest in the back or an old barn where the fox could live and then make some paths going near like the chicken coop, as if the fox was lurking around ! Sounds fun :D You can turn off animal escape and turn off guests fleeing and you should be good to go !
