Enjoying your content thus far, it's inspiring to see developers go the route that you are going and I too would like to build a tech startup. I have a desk setup similar to yours but I only have one monitor, how did you manage to connect both monitors to your laptop? I am considering getting a second monitor too

Instead of fetching every employee and then slicing it, you can just use prisma to limit to 5 employees after all the sorting and after applying all other filtering. SQL level sorting and limiting is faster and its better for bandwidth too.

This is great!! Congratulations on just starting. I like that you are documenting your process. I do think that you should be focussed on core functionality instead of the "nice-to-have" features, that way you can get to market faster. Either way, we'll be here watching.

Not sure if you solved this already but I would try caching the requests to an in-memory database like redis. Maybe with a TTL of one hour depending on the frequency of changes in your data, that way your app will be much quicker with the in-memory db and only when the data doesn't exist it should go to your backend DB. Just a penny's worth... Not sure if you are using the multi-tenant architecture because that too will make it easier for you to look for your data in separating the organizations depending on the chosen approach of course. Great stuff though!
