Yo your mr2 build motivates me to want to work on my own mr2. I bought a mr2 91 NA 5sfe a couple months ago at the age of 17 and I will one day engine swap it myself and learn more about the car, but for now I’m gonna slowly work on keeping it in good condition. You did an amazing job on the car and the video was really inspiring.

I was with you until the engine swap. That looked like a ton of work. With the NA engine only being 140HP, it makes sense. Glad it all worked out! Looks fantastic.

Why not install a turbo and do a mild engine build when the swap engine was on the stand?

i'd imagine it's the lack of space unless they found a way to install the turbo lower but that just screams oil problems.

You can turbo the original 4 cylinder but that v6 is a chonky boi

If you could get the crank balanced and a lightweight flywheel and increase the compession plus itbs it would have high pitch v6 sound more like a high grade sports car.
