Just A question I am just restarting playing the bass guitar and my hands are A little smaller than the average bass player so if I could find A guitar builder around the Welland area.See what I would like to do is not shorten but slim the neck and maybe add one or two more frets so my reach to play certain songs or hit certain notes isn't such A reach. Please help if anyone can.
Search for a short scale bass guitar. they have a shorter scale length so the frets are closer together, and the strings have lower tension so it is easier to play. they're also a lot lighter which helps when you play standing up for a while.
Luke and Nicola, I was really disappointed that your comments did not include a link to a video demonstrating you doing something better. Even then your comments would not be helpful, but they would at least indicate that you had some basis for making them.
The TONE of the bass and the quality of the musicand the musician listened on the video......is.....no words to describe.......with a 100 $ bass and 3 days of music school all can obtain this...........
