Ryan's visiting!! This channel is endlessly entertaining. I am so enjoying seeing how buildings are constructed! All the folks in your videos (and Ryan's, and Phil's, and the Moon's, and Ed & Anna's) are so uplifting and inspiring. So thanks for sharing all your initiatives with us! You Pethericks are so fortunate to have such wonderful parents.
You can just see Yannis taking in every nuance and storing away every bit of knowledge! You can see how well he has learned and picked up details in the very deliberate and effective way he approaches the demolition now.
Your dad is such an all round, old fashioned worker, just like my dad was. I love the way that Yanis was taking it all in too increasing his knowledge of all things ‘building’.
Ah I love seeing your dad so involved. My dad passed away 12 years ago and I feel so much love coming from the screen as I watch you and your dad. I am happy for you to be surrounded by people who are sincere and have their hearts in the right place. (Sorry if there are misspelled words I am Dutch ;) )
Love when Ryan stops by. The library will be beautiful once done no doubt about it. Billy’s vision for the convent is amazing. Look forward to see all the steps. Hard working teamwork for sure.
You are all bloody amazing but Yanis is like a big learning sponge 😂 Every time he sees something different he pays meticulous attention to what's being done and who better to learn from? 😊
I still say your dad is amazing - I think he outworks all of you and where some people are jacks of all trades and masters of none - your dad seems to have a mastery of almost any task. And Yannis has learned well and I think will go far from all of the lessons he has absorbed from the craftsmen throughout the project at the convent and at the chateau.
Yanis is turning into a wonderful “Jack of all trades”! It is wonderful to see the way that you “take people under your wing” & train them in so many areas. What a wonderful experience. Love watching your videos!
Aw, it was so nice to see Ryan at the end. Miss you guys bantering and teasing. Freaks me out that not everyone is wearing respirators/safety equipment while all that ancient dirt is billowing around in dust clouds. Be safe and looking forward to the next video!
You know Billie, l remember you telling us the story that the nuns had hidden relics in the convent. Ever since you have shown us the library renovation I’ve been thinking with all you are tearing out of the convent , if anything is there you can’t help but stumble over it. You guys are doing an amazing job. Obviously you, Micheal and Sadie have learned a great work ethic from your Dad.
wow great drone shots at the beginning, a real sense of the convent and its surroundings, your dad is an inspiration as are all the people you work with on these projects, and your family, I love going on this journey with you all, thanks
Its so nice to see dad Petherick doing that job ,hes fairly healthy for his age. It looks so big when you can see how it was built and it was nice to see Ryan too.
If the beams are saveable they would turn down to amazing chunky hand rails. Would be amazing to see some of that beautiful chunky timber put back in to the new addition
Billy,Mic,Yanis,Rick and Ryan my darlings. So much demolition work. So dusty, wood planks everywhere, hard work. It is nice to see Mic still being able to handle hard work. Until tomorrow. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya guys. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🇺🇸🙏🌈👍🌞🕊❤️😇🌹
I'm hoping the convent will offer bed and breakfast along with talks on the history of the buildings and its restoration by the guys who worked on it with you and an organ recital to finish.
Your dad is such a trooper! He’s got such a lot of expertise as well to show all y’all. It’s so enjoyable to watch Yannis absorb the experiences. Great music again. I think it elevates this dusty, difficult work and shows the artistry of it. It gives dignity to the hard work.
I love your Dad Billy- like you a very strong work ethic. It runs in the family. Glad to see Ryan stopping by and checking things out. Other day Ryan got his first joist beam (brand new) in place. Glad to see that project moving along as well. Crack on guys !
are you planning to leave any of the convent untouched so that future guests can see how it was when you got it? Ryan renos one board at a time! He and Nick are having a grand time hamming it up for the camera.
While watch I so often think about the eons of women who’ve walked over those layers of floors. See their veils waft to one side while they turn a hasty corner to Mass at the bell. Perhaps sat aside on a hill and watched a while as those stones were first stacked. Prayer. Plainsong. Silence. What amazement they would feel watching you now.
Loved the intro with the music Billy. Atmospheric and matched the tempo of the work perfectly. I always enjoy seeing your dad as well - his experience on this project is priceless I’m sure.
Hi, I recently came across your channel, unfortunately, I lost my job a month ago, so, on and off I’ve been binge watching your videos. Love your convent renovation. Being from a building family I watch closely with interest. Lovely people involved - keep being you and doing what you do ❤
So nice to see Mick add his years of experience to the project. The library is certainly impressive. Crack On Billy, Mick, Rick and Yannis. Looks like you need a shower and a beer mates!!!
My dad was always poking around with the brick foundation of my old farm house, it was an effort well appreciated...sure do miss the old guy, they are treasures for sure...!
I lost my 85.5 year old dad in Feb. still very sharp and keeping up with his investments on his computer. I miss him but at least he can be with Mom, his girlfriend since 1940.
It’s nice to see your dad is involved as I didn’t see much of him in the early videos, other than passing by. Although, it explains his longevity. Staying active and involved.
Keep going father if you can still move. Billy we haven’t checked on your grandparents in awhile. We all would like to see how they’re doing. Seems dangerous and backbreaking Shoveling it twice. And many of you don’t wear any kind of protection from the dust!
Ah jaysis there’s Ryan , went from his channel with nick moon talking about teasing wood into holes and poking them to make them fit proper. To Billy’s convent talking about how massive his beam is and comparing sizes.
Hi there from Canada! If I could make a suggestion: put a tarpaulin down in the area where the boys are dropping the rubbish to make it easier to clean up afterwards. Great progress! Keep it up boys!
Wow what a brilliant video the Petherick family you are amazing Your Dad and Mum has got some great Genes which has been passed onto to all the children must be so proud Billy you are so amazing the way you have gone about organising the renovation of the Convent with Yanis Rick a great team Nice to see Ryan pop in crack on Billy 🎉🎉🎉
Love watching you guys renovate this great old building suggestion down below you have a fan blowing toward the windows to blow out all the dust out the windows
Not a day goes by that I don't breathe a huge sigh of relief that you aren't in Earthquake Country. We don't have much unreinforced masonry here in SoCal - most of the old stuff has collapsed in quakes, and no more is allowed.
In general there are earthquakes in France only in mountainous areas as far as I know. And probably 95% of those are under 2 magnitude so only measurable with specific devices. And basically very rarely anything over 4... And they are far from there so no need to worry of those there.
@@judy-angedv7590 Yes, we know. :) It's just that after living in earthquake country for a while you get used to chunky bridge piers and earthquake-reinforced buildings.
Billy, your parentes are such wonderful people !! Seeing your dad “crack on” at his age is amazing. I saw your mother in Sadie’s video today ,coming with so much great advice . They are really special people. And certainly have raised their children right❤ No wonder all of their kids turned out so great and none of you are work shy. I admire all of your’s stamina and both your physical and mental strength, keeping on it this tempo. All of you are creative and talented in your own way. At the same time you are such caring and familiar oriented people and that you also love animal are of course a plus in my book❤ I’m so proud of all of you and wish I new you all personally , you must be a blessing to all of your friends😊 Kudos to all of you!!
I'm glad I found Billy's channel as he had many friends who took part in one renovation or other and by the same token, I subscribed to their channels as well. So, I was fortunate in learning about other projects in other rural France locations and following their progress as well. I've enjoyed watching Billy's work at the chateau and at the convent. Can't wait to see the progress in the chateau kitchen and have watched Billy and Michael's "Jack of All Trades" talents and that goes for the rest of you associated with Billy. Crack On!
Billy, your Da is amazing, and he loves mucking in and doing a thing right. I love how Yanis watches so closely when there is something new to be learned. This is a monster of a job, and everyone is working away like a choreographed dance. Lovely to see Ryan paying a visit, his house is coming along too. Great video and music.🖤🇨🇦
I started sneezing just watching the video 😀. I have been waiting for Ryan and his now famous catchphrase. He is right - his house would fit into the library. I would love to see a video of you two and Michael visiting some big libraries.
