I would have used them as 'hallways' to prevent having to route through other rooms. I might also consider a second floor in this case. But that would be TOO easy!!
Maybe you could do a series of different shaped houses, each house having a theme/challenge. Like you'd do a star shaped house with galaxy aesthetic, honey themed hexagon shaped house for a bee keeper....
And it's owned by grandma and the parents who live in the number 8 house lol since she made the grandma a cat lover who misses her kitties so much! I love building cat cafes in the SIMS! I am going to take that idea and try it in the shape of a 9!
How about something inspired by the 9 Greek muses? Or the 9 different types of sims there are (normal sims, aliens, werewolves, plant sims, servos, ghosts, vampires, spellcasters, and mermaids)?
You should do the number 0 tooo! Where you have to use 0 cheats/hacks: no move objects, no alt placements of any kind (including slotting things to shelves & then moving them to counters or nightstands to get the perfect height or to add more objects or to perfectly align objects where you want them), no debug, no bracket keys to size things up or down, no 0 or 9 keys to raise things up or down, etc. No cheats or hacks of any kind, I think it'd be an interesting challenge for you since you always do some of these
should totes do something related to all the supernaturals in sims for the next challenge after this!! Werewolves, Aliens, Mermaids, Spellcasters, Vampires, Plantsims, Ghosts, and of course humans, who can forget... (maybe even servo 🤔)
If you used the holes of the 8 as the bathrooms since you covered those with roof pieces, I think there def would've been space for a dining or living room! But I love how it turned out!
For 9, going off your idea, I think it would be a fun challenge to make every room have a-multiple-of-9 items. Like, you could start at 9 for the first room, then increase the required number to 18 for the next room, then 27, etc.
I would have "sneaky cheated" and put another 8 for a second floor and used the interior of the 8 holes to be the bathrooms. But go off because you did it in one floor.
I must say, you look truly gorgeous here! That hair color really suits you 🤩 I suggest a 9 minute build or a build for all supernatural sim types as already suggested 😄
This was so great!! You totally crushed it! I think it could have been fun to include a couple picnic tables or an outdoor seating area to make up for the lack of dining or living room inside but either way i still think this is great!!
You could use multiples of 9 to decide how many items are in 9 rooms. For example: if you roll 9x9, you have to use exactly 81 items; and even 9x0 means nothing gets added; and so on!
I like to think this might have been a blended family. The adult had the teen and child from a previous marriage, the young adult had the toddler, and now they have an infant and newborn together with granny here to help take care of the kids
Story idea for this build if u play with it: maybe the teen grows up and graduates and goes off to college. The elder sim is a bit sad to see them leave, so the teen (again, now off to college) gets them a kitten.
Love this build! From a practical standpoint, not having a bathroom in a common area isn't ideal, but hey, the family can just go over a friend's house rather than having friends over 😆 I think having 9 items per room, but I was also thinking a 9 live theme, like the sim has had 9 different careers, like a renaissance sim, and each room must have items from that career. You could spin a wheel to choose which ones!
Love your build as always! For your next series, you could do houses based on each of the 12 Greek gods/godesses cabins from camp half blood, Percy Jackson
Maybe 9 different skills? Like painting, fitness, etc. like the Renaissance Sim aspiration in the game. I was very impressed with the kitchen in this build, it ended up looking so bright and cozy!
I love how you figured out the floorplan! My lazy ass would have just added a second floor 😂 Amazing build as usual, you have such comfort youtuber vibes ❤
I'd love to see a series where you're inspired by a single base game item or inspired by different base game flowers (so you match the colours of the flower swatches).
OPTION 1: I suggested this for number 8 but it works for 9 as well: use only the 9th release of every pack. 9th stuff pack (Vintage Glamour), 9th expansion pack (Eco Lifestyle), 9th game pack (Journey to Batuu), 9th kit was unfortunately a CAS one (Modern Menswear), so you can use the 19th (Bathroom Clutter). OPTION 2: use only the 9th item that show up. Example: when choosing the bed, use the 9th option (bonus: use the 9th color option of it, if the item has many swatches)
The 9th house should be built using the old school M.A.S.H game, with 9 as the counter! Use the comment suggestions to fill the categories, budget/money, family size, rooms, pack/kit count, neighborhood, can't forget the classic MASH options #MansionApartmentShackHouse 😊 #IYKYK
Some ideas for a new series: - Different shapes (square, circle, triangle, star, heart, diamond, etc) -Apartment Reno series where each apt is based on a different career, trait or aspiration -Holiday or season themed homes -Homes based on Sims 3 World Adventures worlds (Egypt, China, Paris) - -Renovating base game townie homes - Building homes for each occult - Building homes using the decor styles in the sims (can only use base game plus one style)
For your 9 house, how about using the 9th expansion pack, game pack, stuff pack and build kit... looking at the results it'd be chaos - Eco Living, Journey to Batuu, Vintage Glamour and Pastel Pop?!
OK hear me out so there’s 12 gnomes in the Sims four altogether so why not do number nine as the all the gnomes in the Sims game yeah, take away a few of them but at least they will be nine and then three more left to cover your bases, so nine gnomes in the number nine!!!
Someone may have already suggested this BUT what about using grammar symbols.🎉😮😅 Such as ?,&,@,&,:,”, /, and * It would be super cool to see what you can do with “a” symbol.😉☺️
I feel like it would have made more sense to put the newborn + infant in the room next to the parents, and to have given the teen their own separate room (even if it would’ve been small). Also would have been cool to see you maximize the holes in the 8 number as bathrooms :) I still love your build though, as always it’s really cozy and homey and filled with color ❤ For 9, I’d like to echo the “9 planets” suggestion! But instead of making them themed rooms, it’d be cool if you could go off the symbolic meaning of each planet as the basis of the design instead!
I would love a different family style series/multi generation homes. You could have a typical family, then a gay and a lesbian couple with children, a DINK, a single mom who lives with grandma, a giant patchwork family and maybe one where two sisters/friends are single parents and raise their kids together
Your next challenge series could be Shapes. First shape starts with a circle and you can only use base game, next a square and base game + get to work, triangle BG, GTW and Get Together. Star for get famous, shell for island living etc. The last shape can be a heart and use the upcoming expansion pack.
I know the inner circles of the eight shouldn’t be rooms since they’re basically holes, but would probably used them as like an indoor garden/courtyards with windows looking in or maybe even doors/arches so they can still be passable. Then put a picnic table outside the patio, and maybe sofas as well for additional seating outdoors. But still good job on the layout of this one. This one is a doozy and you made it work!
You can choose 9 different subjects, such as medicine, engineering, physics, chemistry, space science, sports, teaching, law, acting, and music... etc. You can also do another final episode about the number Zer0 where you can build a house in which no one can live because of its randomness and madness😂
Uuuhh that was a tight squeeze, I might've maybe used the counters of the eight as bathrooms, but you made it work anyway and I never doubted you for that! Also, sidenote: you new hair looks beautiful! 🥰😍
My immediate thoughts for this family would be a couple that’s taken in their siblings from the parents that couldn’t take care of them. They live with their grandparent who helps take care of the kids. Like, a couple just having a bunch of kids in a tiny house with a grandparent there would annoy me for some reason. In general, they’re trying to give the kids a better childhood than they got, which accounts for how awesome the bedrooms are
You said to cluther this kitchen while doing the bathroom and i couldn’t stop laughing 🤣 i know its really not that funny but to me it was!! And for the nine house maybe you could do like a “crazy old lady with way to many cats theme” 🤷🏽♀️🤣
I would love to see curb appeal back, those are always fun! To switch it up, I think it could be really cool if you recreate the Sims Freeplay Architect Homes or lots in The Sims 4.
Great work as usual, but I have a question. Why wouldn't you use the holes created by the number itself as the bathrooms instead of trying to fit it into the number itself? Use all the space available. Is there a rule I missed that said you couldn't use the voids created by the number's shape as valid usuable space?
This one was hard but you nailed it. Wasted opportunity to make the 2 holes as indoor patios, probably fit a bistro table and a bench for seating. Otherwise, very cute and so challenging :)
9 lives, A cat house. Each room in the house has to contain a different cat item. The number 9 is associated with Mars in numerology, so a house that reminds us of the planet Mars Each room has a multiple of 9 items: 1st room 9 items, 2nd room 18 items, 3rd room 27 items, etc for a total of 9 rooms where the 9th room has 81 items.
I think for the next challenge, it would be cool to do a google maps first person search in every continent (dropping that yellow guy down) and you have to recreate the first building you see on each. OR decades.
kids start having nightmares at around 2.5 years old, this is when fear starts settling in their brain (fear of the dark, fear of being abandoned...) so this is why the 2-5 year olds usually have a lot of nightmares because the brain can't deal with it properly at first
i love this channel so much- I struggle with depression so I am not always able to enjoy the things that I used to love, like building in the sims, but this channel is so peaceful and sweet that I am still able to enjoy the sims without having to play it myself. this is probably my #1 comfort youtube channel
i will love whatever you decide to do after this build challenge! no matter what! personally, I really enjoyed your curb appeal series because my favorite builds are always the more aesthetically pleasing ones, but I enjoy everything that you build!
9 rooms and each room is a different randomly generated pack! Or you have 9 randomly generated packs and you have to use all 9 in the build, and only use those packs.
Another fun series could be different sized homes, from tiny home to huge mansion with everything inbetween Or all occults on one lot All different house types aka one tree house, one boat house, one trailer, one suburban home, one apartment building and so on
My nightmares as a kid were things like being abducted or murdered, then I became an adult and now my nightmares are about working in customer service I haven't dreamt about Jason Vorhees murdering me in a while, miss that dude
