If you are going to do more acoustic guitar builds you might want to read Ervin Somogiy's books on building the responsive guitar. He's considered one of the very best Luthiers and his two books are exhaustive in theory and technique. And if you are a StewMac member you get half off the price.

Sooooo… your tone bars are on the wrong side… they usually attach on the treble side of the x brace… this can happen bc the blue prints show what’s inside the guitar once complete … so you have to flip them when gluing on braces… but who knows it might sound good

I reversed the plans because I'm making this a left handed guitar.

The bracing can be held in place when glued by putting a 1/4" x 1/2" x (needed length) stick to "bridge" across the braces. then let the go-bar sticks push down in the middle of the "bridge" stick and glue two braces at once. I have found that stops all slippage and twisting of the brace when it is being glued up. Know what I'm saying? And more than one or two go-bars can be put on the "bridge" sticks for more pressure. Jeff. Nice work mate. I think some of your go bar stcks are still a bit to long. If you trim some more off this should fix your issue.

Nice start mate. are you going to go more in-depth when you start carving and shaping the braces? I assume that is how acoustics are "tuned" for their voice? Also you haz spam bots in your comments. Not sure if the links are questionable or not as I can not find information on them and I am certainly NOT clicking them.

I keep reporting those dang bots. I'm not sure if I'll go in depth on the carving. I'm still learning the process. I will include some of it in the next video but not sure how in depth I'll go.

@@homebuiltshop I tend to curse them out in a reply THEN report them.. Probably doesn't do a thing but it makes me feel better giving some sort of response since we can not reach thru the screen and choke the bajeebus out of them.
