I think making Virginia flush with the body would have been worth the extra work

This build has been awesome to watch. Looking forward to how it sounds. Will be sad when you finish this series. Hmmmmm, maybe another build ? 🤞. How about Steve putting up building video’s ? So cool to watch a craftsman work.

Jeremy, you once mentioned a bit about Steve's thoughts on how new guitars age as they continue to dry, etc.I would appreciate hearing his thinking on how to care for a new guitar for the first year or so and if it is different than for an older guitar. Also, his recommendation on humidity levels. Thank you. I am praying for you and your family.

Bevel the edges of Virginia So it looks like it’s popping up out of the side that would be sick. Awesome build.

This continues to be such an amazing and interesting series. It's very interesting to see how Steve shimmed the neck and got it right and so close. That's a huge deal. And as I understand, when it comes to guitars, sanding is just constant! Still looking forward to seeing this one finished, and excited for you (and a bit jealous)!

Thanks Jeremy. The amount of labour that goes into a custom guitar is staggering and not likely reflected in the price of most new guitars. The talent required to turn out master piece guitars is to be admired. All new guitars are a bargain purchase right now. Even the Asia built models.

if you hold your mouth right = you're in the flow state, it doesn't matter what's going on or what you look like the work or whatever you're doing is in phase or in sync and it's firing on all 8 cylinders.

Great job man! I like that you didn't let the mistake keep you from going hands on with the guitar and using the sander. I hope to build my own guitar soon and will be lucky to make something half as good as what you've done.

In most any kind of detail work, I've found that holding one's mouth right is absolutely critical. I catch a little flak sometimes for sticking my tongue out like Charlie Brown.

This state patch could be a thing. If I get one I'll want an Oklahoma patch or maybe an enlay. Good idea if you ask me.

So you're making a Virginian guitar. Having the raised state gives you or another talent the ability to "sign" the guitar with a dot for the town where it is made and even maybe text for the town's name. That's my thought.

I would carve lines into the mountain patch so that it has some depth and added character. Looks great, I love working with osage. Ive made several guitars using osage necks.
