I winced when you put those bushes next to the runway! The reason airports are so manicured are to prevent small animals like birds from nesting in areas where they could get sucked into a plane engine!

Not bad at all! In real life this would be a challenging (and of course fun) airport to land at due to the hill next to it meaning that the pilots would encounter some interesting wind situations due to mountain waves! If something could be changed it's the length of the runway (Make it a bit longer to meet the criteria for an Intl Airport) and the runways proximity with the cargo terminal would also put approach slopes at risk of obstacle clearance infringment. But I really love this airport and it's location. VERY fun episode to watch!

The 82 tile mod has the option to remove the need for water pipes and electric cables buddy. Nice video.. haven’t touched CS2.. still on CS1 👍

Very informative. You should incorporate some fire services in the airport as all major airports have on site dedicated fire services

One thing a bit interesting about CS:1 is I feel like it makes the entire ground and trees look a bit less moisturized and a lot more dry. This might be because if the water texture, or the dirt it adds to the sides of the highways and stuff, but it's something I've noticed from CS:1 that has been changed in CS:2.

I'm really looking forward to the continuation. Don't give up on developing Rockport!

For making solid lines with the intersection marking tool you can shift left-click and it will make a solid line. No need to change it via the drop down menu, gives you a faster workflow. Also when hovering over a node before you click it it shows you a tooltip what modifier does what lane (double solid, empty, etc.)

another detail you could add might be a toll booth when exiting the parking area! maybe you could put it alongside the hotel output road. I love the airport, especially its constrained geography, very unique!

Great episode, I love airport builds! Was wondering if you could possibly build another terminal with a runway across the river? You could connect it with the subway and treat it as an international terminal.

Everything is awesome, I love the build. But realistically there could be some clearance issues with that interchange in front of the runway

Even tho I’m on console, this has given me an idea for another airport if I decide to start a new city, in my current build I have a international airport and on the side of the map I created a small county airport using the aviation club and mixed a couple of the small hangars and a the small prop private jet 🛩️ styled planes

I got an idea. How about do something like Kansai Airport in Osaka, Japan where theres an entire artificial island just for a gigantic airport, so this airport then becomes somesort of a regional airport for smaller planes

Only thing i think you should've done as well is public transport. I mean, the subway station is nice, but it would've been even nicer if you could include some bus lines and taxi stands would be a pretty realistic addition for the airport. Also, I wonder what would be planned for that little road that goes away from the museum, it looks like it could be a way to some suburbs or perhaps something recreational. whatever you would plan for that area in the future, please don't forget to add a bus stop near the museum on that way~ Many of us aviation nerds don't have a car

As a pilot, i know the taxpayers would hate the long runway but we sure as hell would love it

amazing! but you might want to make it so the planes land from the other side where there is no cargo terminal since its a bit questionable to put a cargo terminal in front of the runway (on the side planes land), so it should be fine if you flipped therunway because planes taking off have a higher angle, than a plane landing

You aren't going to have many planes flying with only one runway. Unless you can be sure that the wind always blows in that direction.
