I am from India, found this channel couple of months ago and totally glued. I love the fix or flop series because I am facing a lot of problems with my laptop and your videos gave me hope, I'm a totally disabled als patient and use the laptop with Windows Eye Control. Hi Greg, I built an all MSI/AMD system a year ago as the first component I purchased was the MSI B550M motherboard although my system is budget oriented (3500X, RX5500XT). Went OTT as I also went MSI with peripherals as well haha I love the unified asphetic to it all, especially the dragons ☺ great channel Greg I enjoy your videos very much!

My very first build had largely MSI parts and it went very smoothly, I always appreciated how user friendly their parts seem to be, even though that might be an odd way to say it lol. Leaves me with a nostalgic fondness for MSI, I didn't get to use many MSI parts in my more recent builds, but that's been due to stock issues rather than by choice F.

Great video! I just bought this case, and a Z490 mobo to swap my current Acer i5 10400 setup into so I have a normal MOBO and power supply instead of my tc1660ua92's proprietary junk. Appreciate watching you build this I picked up a lot of info that will help me! Thanks!

Ever since I first touched my first pc components, I was hooked. These videos are like drugs to me, and I probably watched 80 percent of them in the past few weeks. The components look fantastic and match very well together. Especially the case, motherboard, and cpu cooler look great.

Very nice build, just ordered up an msi core liquid s360 for my new 12900k pc im building. I'm going to be using all lian li sl120 fans with a lian li 011d xl case on an asus z690e board with corsair dominator ddr5 5200mh ram and an ftw3 3080ti. Can't wait to get it all together and rippin up some frames!! Thanks for sharing!

i’m glad i found this channel. i love everything IT but currently work in retail - not that i regret my choice - i’m just being inspired more and more to experiment with IT and reach out to companies to see if they’re offering jobs. when i first got my retail job i got too comfy too quickly.

You are doing a fantastic job, those videos are pure joy to watch ( I hate MSI for many reasons , but the video is a PC Building video, so I don't care about the parts used :p ). PCDC and Fix or Flop series are one of a kind! Let me make a suggestion: You should try doing some reactions for people's setups, pc cases etc, if you have the time for this, it'll be awesome, different from the others that are doing this stuff)

This case looks like the one i just bought : Antec P101 Silent Performance Series. Got it for peanuts It's just a bit bigger i think. Nice cases ! Nice built Greg !

yeah the mostly solid front panel gives me pause. Went with a Fractal Design Torrent for my case and am very pleased with it.

06:36 the cpu cooler lga 1700 brakcer is generic one. There is a lot of play in that bracket. If you press it completely from backside of the board it pushes the cooler/pump part away from the cpu creating a gap in between those two which is definitely not good for heat transfer. You need to add an adhesive between mobo and that bracket to avoid that. You can see at 06:36 the bottom right part is not fully inserted in the hole

There's a good local deal on the MSI MPG 850 PSU but a lot of reviews and comments claim it's quite noisy, i prefer quiet builds, my current ( no pun intended 😁 ) Corsair RMx750 is great but getting old.

The only thing i would say about the front AIO is, it seam like the fans would work better if they weren't sandwiched between the radiator and the case. but looks per performance would probably be lower.👍

The pump on MSI AIOs are in the radiator, not the water block so the pump on that configuration is definitely installed below the tubing…

I upgraded about 6 months ago from a 6700K to a 5900X and I got an X570 Unify for £290 ... My RAM and cooler ported over so it wasn't that bad ... Now the Z690 Unify is £520 in the UK ... WTF ...

I recently build an all msi gaming pc and i have the coreliquid 240r aio and i heard from consumers how bad that aio is. Most of them says their aio failed within around 2-4 months of use. It's sad that not a single tech review channel addressed that issue

I had the older model, i thinm coreliquid 360r everytime i turn on the pc it makes a buzzing sound for a second and goes away until one day my aio wouldnt cool at all. Which died around 4 months, bought the aricitc liqiud freezer still running like new.

@@faris9327 my build isn't complete yet so i havent had the chance to test it yet. I cant rma it since i dont have valid reason to return it unless it actually broke on me. I'm just hoping that when it fails, it's still within warranty period.

Love the build, Greg! Just wondering if there is enough cable to put the CPU block back to its normal upright position with the cables feeding out to the right, but flip the fans so the cable feed from the bottom, rather than the top which could solve the LCD and logo being upside down and fix the messy cabling? I'm very vanilla when it comes to building PC's, but watching all your different series is helping me look to step up my low end build to a mid level gaming PC. Thanks again!

Love how you still need to lecture people about the AIO orientation, some just don't learn :D I did a build in the mesh front version of that case and it's been fun, though the included fans were non addressable RGB puke, so I had to change those. Other than that a nice case. When using an AIO or just thicc fans in the front, GPU size may become a concern. With a 3070ti I have about 1cm clearance to the front fans. As always great video, keep em coming!

I tried ordering that case last December and they sent me the wrong one from amazon. But it was more of a free upgrade they sent me the MSI Sekira 500x which is amazing.

I think the Sekira is a beautiful looking case but reviewers have put out videos on how little air moves through the front of that particular case. I guess if you have an AIO or fans at the top, you could get around that issue.

@@ericturnipseed8664 Well no cause there is not fresh air to pull in so even with a top mount AIO, you're just pulling out really hot air from inside the case to cool off the radiator, in both cases every part of the system suffers under a big powerload

Is it possible MSI included a fan not to provide airflow for the VRM as mentioned in the video, but instead as a sort of "failover" cooling solution in the event the liquid cooling system ceased for whatever reason?

Looks great. But many Sci Fi movies and TV shows have made me wary of computers with red LEDs, they always seem to be evil. From Hal to the Battlestar Galactica Cylons, red LEDs mean evil.

This is one of my favourite cases to build in. I have built quite a few computers using this case. Though, this was all virtual using PC Building Simulator. I haven't actually used a case in real life for any of my 2 builds as they are both caseless. And the one is an MSI Meg Ace with the "Gaming Knob." The easiest way to overclock ever! So why did you not hook a monitor to it? Just because it turns on does not mean it works. But, still, a nice build. Not use about DDR 5 yet. Probably be when DDR 6 comes out I will start using DDR 5.

Hi Greg, I have a question on the AIO position. Mostly, why not use the top for the radiator, so you can orient the MSI logo on the pump? I use my AIO in that way, so the question is not about performance or AIO health, but only in terms of aesthetics.

Not Greg however I checked the case listing and it shows that only a 240MM can go on top and this AIO is 360MM.

The notch in the dimms is not in the exact same place. The DDR5 notch is more in the middle of the stick. The DDR4 notch is about a 8th inch closer to the top of the board.

When I built my pc I had wanted to one brand to handle one of the jobs. So theres only arctics fans and cooler, msi gpu, motherboard and power supply, and lian li case. Rams are the hyper x ones. It looks very cool and stealthy since everything is black and no rgb besides the motherboard troubleshoot leds.
