Building an ARMORED CAR From a V10 Diesel VW Touareg (and then TESTING it!) 

The vw is neat but a komatsu bulldozer is more effective.

The first up-armored vehicle that can be disabled by a nail on the road...or an emissions test.

So many popular fabrication youtubers for one half-assed build. Sponsored build videos are almost always bad, but this definitely feels like one of the worse ones.

Waldo, how did you feel about the people ignoring your suggestions to wear PPE? Not sure I would weld without a mask hahaha.

Am I missing something on the hatch? It looks like theres a plastic cover on the side of the hinges at 3:32 that has those little bolt covers over it

Here in Brazil most of the V8 Touaregs of that generation was armoured. It was so expensive that this car was a very luxurious one for the public

Hey guys, great work you done on the car! I'm from the Netherlands and went to visit LA 2 times. First time I got an Escalade because the rental company didn't have any other car with sat nav. Put us on the shortest route and ended up going miles through skidrow! I needed to go to Anaheim and I spoke to a police officer over at the convention I was visiting and he truly shook my hand and said that he was glad we survived in that car! That shook me up a bit, he told me what could have happened if I was there on the wrong hour pff I needed that car you guys build in this video 😂 also great job done on the car guys! I just hope he never has to replace the alternator. They are cooled by engine coolant because they were developed initially for the Dakar rally at wide open throttle with a bunch of bright rally lights. Because of this, they are very expensive ($3K) and are very hard to find.

Used to work for a company where we would deliver cars for review purposes to writers and editors. VW/Audi was one of the manufacturers we had as a client. I remember taking one of these V10 TT diesels fairly far to deliver, it was a great ride. The torque of the engine was so satisfying.

I guess you guys are making a lot of jokes, because of course these things are servicable. You losen the rear part of the headliner and you can change bootlid dampers. But I guess you knew that. Otherwise I'm at a loss for words

feel kind of disappointed not seeing it be tested against 9x19, 5.56x39 and 7.62x39, those are the most common calibres after all. or hit it in any of the other differently armoured areas. other than that its a really cool project.

Very very cool project. Now ... just to be clear (maybe you say, I'm at 7min), by "armored" he means against handgun rounds. I expect a 223 is zipping right through it. anyone in it. Full powered rifle..? Would require so much more that you'd need different suspension... even 1/4" of AR500 ... which'd make it bullet resistant to medium powered (7.62, but not AP and certainly not 30-06 in AP). But would def. have added a couple TONS. Probably making the power inadequate.
