HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! We hope you had a great time and a not too bad 2021!
This is the first time we actually show you why, how and when we bought the Unimog. It was a pretty interesting year with lots of ups and downs but we made it this far and will make it all the way until we can leave the farm and go travelling again!
Our Unimog is an ex Australian Defence Force vehicle and already 35 years old. We restore the entire truck and build the camper box ourselves. Not an easy job since this is the first time we tackle such a big project while having to work full time on the farm (to be able to extend our visa so we can stay in Australia for another year) which doesn't make it easier :D.
We were originally hoping to get more done within this year, but we had lots of issues that we didn't know about before and heaps of rust. We always say 'DO IT ONCE DO IT PROPERLY'!!!
2022 we wanna smash the build and get it done as quick as possible. Jele is dreaming about travelling to Esperance and Albany in the Unimog before heading north so we really need to get it done before winter :)
