Just wanted to let you know that even now (09.09.23) you are helping a ton of people including myself and my wife build this drawer. SUPER AWESOME JOB and you cleared up so many difficult steps that were hard to see in the IKEA instructions. Thanks again!!! 😁
Thank you so much for making this video it was a great help, It took me over a week to complete but I couldn't have done it without your help, there were some quite tricky bits to navigate. I am 68 years old and did it all by myself, I am so proud of myself....girl power
Our marriage was in jeopardy, you saved us. First attempt at an Ikea product to build. Two more downstairs. Labels or numbers on the pieces would help. This lady's help was fantastic. Worth watching
Thank you for making this video. I bought this dresser a month ago. When i opened the first box and looked at the instructions, I was ready to take it back. I found your video and it made it make sense. 8 hours later and I'm almost finished. I only have the drawers to assemble.. that will be for another day.. Thanks for the help.
So many thanks !!!! Without your so helpfull video, I wouldn't have made it !!!! I'm 64 and made it on my own thanks to you ! So proud 😀🙂 Kind greetings from Bordeaux in France 🙏💙
I was absolutely stumped on #11 and your video helped me understand the difference sizes (the IKEA directions DO NOT). Thank you so much for posting this!!
I used to buy and build furniture all the time!!! I just purchased two of these dressers and after seeing you build this, I know I most definitely will be trying to schedule them to put this together. I no longer have the patience and I definitely can’t be on my knees that long
You’re an angel for making this video! Never assembled a dresser before and felt pretty intimidated, but your calm and positive approach and instructions got me to to the finish line. Thank you so much! ❤️🙂
❤❤❤ I also want to say thank you for creating a step by step video of this dresser build. I can not express enough how you help my anxiety disorder level stay in control. My daughter loves her big girl dresser ❤
Thanks a lot for this video. We just bought the Hemnes dresser and I will save this for later. I’m usually not very good at assembling furniture, but this made it look quite easy! Thanks!!
Thank you so much, me and my family were struggling for 2 hours to figure out how to use and assemble this! Luckily we found your video and it took us 3 hours to complete! Thank you very much!! ❤️❤️
I liked the dresser and the price, but was hesitant, as I had done IKEA assemblies before. I made the purchase and checked RU-vid for videos, and found 3. I tried the other 2 and although helpful, there was a lot that was left out and some irrelevant conversation. I got stuck on step 11 and was ready to call IKEA, but checked out this video, and from that point on I was able to proceed to the end with very little difficulty, thanks to the clear explanation and visual display of Aksana's interpretation of the instructions. As I gained confidence I went a bit faster and in a couple of spots changed it up from how she did it, such as hammering the plastic 'nails' to connect the drawer sides and back-I used a towel on top of the dresser, allowing me to stand and put more force into the hammer. It took me a lot longer than her and what others have claimed to do the assembly, but it is sturdy and looks great. I have become a subscriber. Thanks! Dave
Thanks so much for posting this. I got stuck trying to get the middle part together. Big brain fart. I knew I had the right pieces but couldn't get them right. LOL!
Aksana is a blessing!!! This should be the highest rated video for assembling this dresser on RU-vid. I looked at a lot of videos, and Aksana's was certainly the best. I can't put into words how much I appreciate this video. You need to follow along/pause/replay as you go while using the Ikea guide to finish installation. Both visuals are key. Thank you Aksana!!!
Could not have done it with out this video. Things have changed a little today in 2021 with certain design peaces. Or some holes but still was able to put mine together with this video along with instructions
I built these today. Bought them for my daughter because i have the same ones which I built 12 yrs ago. I did not remember having to build a confusing mid section frame the first time and it’s because I didn’t. IKEA have scrimped on the wood & made twice the work with all those confusing bits of wood. My set just has one panel in the middle. I can tell the quality has gone down hill. Great video though, it was very helpful today. Thankyou.
The last one I built (today) had some new hardware. I think it’s intended to keep you from opening more than 2 drawers at a time. It’s a complicated piece of furniture.
I am finding the holes are too tight for the screws and when I try to push down to have them bite into the hole, the screw head just strips / tears away and now the screw cannot be tightened anymore. How come yours did not do this?
Me and the wife have one and the bottom of the drawers look flimsy like they’ll bend or break because there’s little support on them just wanted to ask if when your finished building does the drawers feel like it’s stronger to hold more clothes
Do you know how long it is ?? On the website it says it’s like 5 feet long and when I pulled the tape measuring it seems super long! Do you know how long it really is ?
I'm glad I watched this. That looks miserable I am never doing that shit. I'd rather buy one used and pay 2 people to help me move it than do all of that tedious bullshit.
I have done many of the dresser so this is my feedback: would be better if the plastic locks would have the arrow in black color cause really can't see it that good. Also, the plastic legs don't really stay in the side panels so I add glue to it so it can stay in. Also, the back panel. would be better if it was slide-in instead of hammering all the nails. Sliding in is faster than hammering each nail taking more minutes to finish the panel.
I’m so sad because I watched your video and was excited to start working on my dresser and then can’t continue because the holes don’t match for L1 and L2 😩
I would like to buy one, but not sure about color. Currently only "white stain" color available(even on photos on ikea website some darker spots visible) , solid white is discontinued. So which one in your video??
this one is the "white stain". I think the darker spots you see is the wood grain. because you can still see the wood grain under the paint, which I love. you can also repaint this to make it your custom color if you choose to do that in the future.
Does anyone having the same issue as me : Step 15 ,The screw is not enough long to enter on the hole and hold the other peace of wood .. any suggestions please. Thanks
I just assembled mine. Didn't use this video and as a mechanical Engineer who also makes assembly insctructions I have to say Ikea should review theirs. It lacks some detail views who would help a lot of people
I believe I did have extra left over for some parts. You can also go to the as-is department in Ikea, and ask for the extra screws (take a picture of what you need exactly and what furniture piece )
for the dresser. did you buy the white Stain finish Dresser from IKEA? ( i think ikea came in two finishes, regular white and Stain White). HOW has the white stain dresser held up these past 2 years?
