Nice! If I'm remembering right, my first ground-up build was an FX-6300 and R9-270X. Not an awful machine for its day, and hugely better for gaming than the Core i5 IGP Thinkpad it replaced.
I have the same case and I noticed a winding noise from the front 140mm fans.and is because of the way the mounting is designed.the metal fixing for the screws are obstructing airflow intake and creates turbulence.anoying to my ears I'm considering returning the case or cutting it.
For the RAM, you want better timings. Go for 6000 cl30 kit. And if you're budget allows it, Corsair RM850x is a far better option (longer warranty, less noise, 5 PCIe/EPS connections instead of 4).
@@isabelphillips451first step is to figure out your budget, then what you want to use your pc for (work, gaming, or rendering) then you should research parts and prices, check if they're available, etc. I'm no expert so I want reccomend any parts but I have a 3080 ti and a ryzen 5 5600x which can get 60 fps in most games.
Also you messed up (as did I as I didnt check) your links to the 4090 BTF card are NOT the links for BTF so now I have a non-BTF card with all my BTF parts :(
It has thermal paste when you look at it closely when he's mounting the water block, plus who would on their right mind not use thermal paste on a 14900K
Yes if you pause on block installation you can see a blob. If he didn’t he would be trying to figure out why his PC is shutting down almost immediately on turn on. I think Jay did a vid on that….
My first few PC builds had a fairly heavy visual aesthetic emphasis, but nowadays I just make things reasonably tidy and call it good. So, I'm not a fan of this completely unneeded format. I particularly would not enjoy having the infamous 16-pin connector behind the board where I can't see it when it begins melting.
As someone who has never ACTUALLY built a PC, but very much wants to in the near future, any chance I could ask for some clarification on your POV, there and why they should be using air coolers and not exposed tubes? And do you mean they shouldn’t be using AIO with tubes at all? Thanks, in advance, for any reply/thoughts/etc in advance.
People don't know or don't care about whatever is going on. Me personally I haven't looked into it but I will at a later time but I don't have any asus parts in my all white 4090 build.
@ambition2959 the parts are good but expensive but the rma process is bad or something like that I still haven't watched any videos yet. So asus will hopefully change the process
