It's not everyone's cup of tea, but yeah, those are fabrics from the 90's which are highly appreciated by e30 and e36's enthusiasts, and it looks good and period correct on them but yeah it doesn't looks so great on a newer e92 IMO...

Coming from a previous n54 owner I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you guys order Silicone vacuum lines across the whole car, and a RB PCV valve! Keep up the amazing videos guys ❤️

Love the car guys! Noticed you guys pulled the injectors to do the valve cover. Hopefully you replaced the seal on them prior to reinstalling. They are prone to leaking if they are removed and not replaced prior to putting them back in. Looking forward to more content on this car!

I had to replace a leaking valve cover on my E92 335i - getting to it was a pain in the neck! Stoked to see you doing a coupe though, can't wait to see the finished car! 😁

The braided vacuum hose works like a Chinese finger trap when it’s in good condition it doesn’t fray to release them you push in and twist and it should let go easily when you applied heat shrink to the end you pretty much lock it prevent it from operating as designed I recommend you either rehose the vacuum lines or upgrade to a different style if you don’t like the fraying. Considering on how old it is I would definitely replace all the vacuum lines for reliability

I’m actually so excited for this build, I have been a huge fan of the e92 bmws and even got a 328i. I’ve had it for three years now and am currently searching for a m sport 335i. It’s funny because not a day after I decided to look for an e92 335i, you guys are starting to build one!

As a person who works for BMW, you should go ahead and do a whole gasket refresh. Do oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket or assembly if it’s cracked(based on mileage) and a oil pan gasket and go ahead and do a tensioner as well if the tensioner goes bad it will lodge the belt behind the front crank pulls and cause a lot of damage

Haha you’ll find a 12 point thin walled socket in any n54 owners tool box... I’ll never forget the first time I went to change my plugs and needed to wait for the proper socket to come in!

for a second i thought the coffee mug was an oil filter housing... but still, coffee... coffee is love, coffee is life! also, e92 is my favorite 3 series gen, so im looking forward to the finished project! if i may throw in a little bodykit-suggestion? The Ericsson kit, but rather for a narrow body non m3 would be sick!
