Guys, you can actually slide the new ladder section on the access ladder so you don't have to pick it up. That's how I helped build the bottom section of that first access ladder. Too late now but for the next time. Glad to see so many folks in the community helping out Ross.
I’m pleasantly surprised that you built and installed those ladders for Tecopa Mines. Good Job! You’re absolutely correct about those pallet nails. Now, I know why you didn’t bother notching the rungs. Good to see some remaining relics. And a curse on the arsonist’s who torched the mine back in the 80’s! Thank you!
Great upload. Nice to see even a bit of the behind the scenes preparation that goes into these video. Perhaps adding a bit of history behind the mine and or letting viewers know by pointing out the ore(s) that were mined (as you've done in other uploads) would make them even better. Well you made it through and up & down the skree and the dust you all created. Someone knew ahead of time that you may need breathing assist equipment. Glad you used it. Boy! there sure was alot of collapse in this mine. LOTS of collapse at the 600 ft level. The pillars were huge at that level. You made it to the 700 ft. level.....much congrats. for all your endurance. A very interesting & huge mine. Thank you for filming your explore.

First time on your on your station. I watch a lot of mine videos and I can tell you that’s got to be the dustiest mine I’ve ever seen. If you guys had a lady with you half dressed your numbers be thru the roof. Ever watch “ the naked Gardner”? Good numbers nothing interesting for me. 16 to 1 is one I like, I think GOLD would have to get to and stay above $2900 to get that mine working. And in closing heck if I lived closer I would be saying “can I come? I want to go”. 72 and living in Florida.
Cool explore. Glad that boomstick didn't detonate sweated out nitro from the impact of his hand. Would not have been a pretty sight. That was a sketchy moment!
What do you think. It's safer going down into a oxygen filled mine than to the ocean floor? Someone would pay for your expertise and go with you for say $150,000? Then get views of them surviving it if they do. Lol
Super interesting video! Nails would be better than screws for this anyway as in my experience screws have less sheer strenght as they are higher tensile. Ive had them snap off in situations where nails never have. Many common screws are so hard you cant hacksaw them, the saw teeth rip off with almost no scratch on the screw. Id say the best would probably be stainless steel, not to hard, but so expensive. Also, long before a screw breaks from over twisting, cracks form in the high tensile steel which you cant see. I reckon you were right to use nails on the ladders. Cheers Daniel.
