Building Audi's missing Car.. Easy Right? Audi quattro RS001 Group S Build by EPS (Part 1) 

This is emotional. I'm in awe. Building a no longer existing car from a tiny toy model and a few internet pictures is mind boggling. I can't wait to see how this all pans out. All the very best!!

I was going to build it in the future, i mind to be the only one to have that car...I live near the secret test track where the photos were made...and I love the story behind that place...It would be nice to drive it there

As a fan of both Group B and Audi, I always wished that those mythical mid engined cars had survived. I liked to imagine that Gumpert had maybe managed to stash one safely away. Audi have the Grp S prototype but that looks like a miniature LMP car. The real dream looked like the proper Audi rally cars in those grainy pictures. You could only imagine how they might have given the T16s and S4s a run for their money if they had made it to the 1987 Group B season that never happened. So pleased to see you are building the unicorn of my car dreams.

Have watched this out of order as I stumbled over it. Trans wise it sounds similar to the RS200 configuration - having seen the pics of the chassis it looks like you are running a torque tube to the gearbox rather than bolting direct? Very cool project, keep on down the rabbit hole!

I think there is a chance that RS001 is hidden somewhere in the warehouse, just like with RS002 and, for example, with the BMW m8 e31

was the car not shortened like the original? is that why the rear body work? ie try to style similar?

I worked for v.a.g contim motor's in the early 80's as saw the Audi quattro which was astonishing to see

hopefully audi will noticed from the project and maybe it's a part of exhibition in the audi museum
