Congratulations dear Phillip. The route is great. In the meantime, you regained your former strength. wonderful. The video is very nice from start to finish my friend. You make a very nice videos. By the way, your bike is very nice. Greetings to my sister Jane. Greetings to London. Have fun. Good luck. #bikeracingwithoutmercy
Thanks ever so much Atakan ! It’s really lovely to hear from you 💯 Jayne and I as always wish you the very best of health and fulfilment in Turkey ! Ibiza is a beautiful Island -and as you will see in the next video, Boris from Velo Club Ibiza took me on some incredible routes ! Stay strong 💪
The video is edited nicely 👍🏿 the way you have seamlessly blended the footage and the overall flow of the video is top-notch. It adds a whole new level of enjoyment to the viewing experience 👌 ❤
I hugely appreciate you saying this fastbreak ! It’s really motivating 💯. I was looking for a different way to present a training block - and am so pleased it flowed well. Takes quite a long time to edit 😅. Hope all is well 💯
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy yes 😀 editing video using software demands significant investment of time, a mastery of tech skills and a natural flair for creative storytelling 👌
Cheers Irondistance🙏. It’s a habit now as I feel myself (and face) tensing up. Super amazing technique - doesn’t always work on me at the end of a hard effort - but for the rest helps with the natural flow. Will take a while to edit the Haute Route vid - but have a beautiful one to showcase Ibiza to come and then a couple of other easier edits 👍
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy I’d love to say yes but I’ve been struggling with two prolapsed discs for a while now and it’s getting worse. Apparently one of them isn’t severe enough for surgery so I’ll have to wait until they’re both critically severe enough for intervention 🤷🏾♂️I’m currently getting by with as much exercise as I can tolerate and lots of Pain Killers. It could be worse though.
Ibiza looking glorious, never really thought of it as a bike destination. Strength looking very nearly back. some great efforts there.. And kudos to the editing there. It stood out as one of the best yet 😍
It’s a cracking cycling Island - perfect training ground for the puncheur ! Loads of 5-14min climbs, and as you’ll see in the next video, a few as steep as we adore in the Lakes ! Hope all good Sir !! PS Cheers on the edit - trying a few different ideas at the mo
Cheers Chris 🙏 - fitness is coming back now the intensity has been added back in consistently (and the endurance is still ok too! ). If you love Ibiza - definitely try the cycling there, in many respects I prefer it to Majorca. Smaller climbs (5-15mins) but huge variety (including very very technical and steep as you’ll see in the next vid), but very beautiful and quite once you get away from the capital and the airport. I’d recommend Velo Club Ibiza to show you the sights !
Thanks ever so much Nick 🙏. Was the perfect way to spend a week ahead of the Haute Route - plenty of rest and recovery and a perfect amount of activation to keep the body primed 👍
Excellent as always Phil… quality climbing once again top quality. I hope I can get to your level one day 😊 😃😃🚴🏻🥇 ride on dude your so inspirational views look amazing.. Pete
Thanks ever so much Pete 🙏 - was a beautiful day on a beautiful island. And you’ll see a bit more of Ibiza in the next video ! Lovely ride by you the other day 💪
Hi Jeff - and thanks ever so much 🙏. The top end fitness is back on the rise. I’m going the Minehead CC Hill Climbs this weekend (x2). I love The Struggle - and depending on where I am fitness wise after my last Gran Fondo of the year I may give it a crack
Lol, you're 8min faster on the toll road with the same power as I did. Guess weight does make a small difference 😉 As always a great video. Too bad we couldn't meet up while we were in the UK, but we had such a great time we will surely be back soon enough :)
Cheers Marco ! And so sorry to have missed seeing you 😫 . I hope you enjoyed Porlock and Snowdonia - Stwlan Damn is right up there as one of my 3-4 favourite climbs in the UK. Yep - my low weight on the Toll makes a difference. But at about 5.5% average - it’s also a climb that rewards lower W/kg and big power . Keep going with your comeback ✊
congratulations on getting back to your best must be very satisfying, ... have you ever explored CdA and ride position on the bike? think there's a gain to be made. love your work keep having fun mate.
Thanks Marcus 🙏 - and for sure it’s been a long road back, but really fulfilling to gradually progress💯. Agreed, I need to improve my bike position (the CTT 25mile and 50mile iTTs tamed that home ). Still struggling a bit with back ache - but will continue to address bike position over the winter
Thanks ever so much Ian - super kind of you ! Yep - in Europe, the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche (with a gravel bike or gravel tyres) is the best I've done. And in the UK Fred Whitton is simply incredible - the best for sure
Phil Ex of Everything Possible...i have dropped u some lines on your Zwift rides from this am...maybe you could look at them and come back, need some advise from yours...
