I followed along the Speed Champions instructions for the Skyline. Had to make a few alterations/substitutions due to the pre-built base and a few unavailable pieces, but it comes very close to the actual build, complete with NOS tanks and roll cage.
That's interesting, thanks. Would you say it's worth buying the game if one of the main things you'll do is recreate custom/official builds? Is it good enough as of right now or would you wait for a sale? I grew up with Lego Racers, and want this game for my kids, but I don't have the fantasy to build cool stuff, and my kids are too young to do anything but drive(read: crash) 🤣
@@nitr4mmedia The game gives you a large brick variety to begin with (including some Technic pieces), but has the rest stuck in the shop or as prizes for completing missions and races in the story mode. I'm guessing that the devs are also keeping pieces reserved for upcoming content, but unless someone puts in the effort to datamine the game or 100% complete it, I couldn't tell what the complete brick/part list is. As it stands, it's a fun game that is still enjoyable as solely a vehicle builder with a few minor constraints. But f that's all you want out of it, then it's probably better to wait a bit for a sale to happen (wouldn't be surprised if it happened during a Lego title sale in a few months).
@@AeroQC thanks for the detailed reply. I did read up on it a little that like you say, some bricks needs to be unlocked. I wish they would see a sandbox mode for builders in the future, lol. We'll see what I do. If the driving mechanics are ok I guess it could be fun. 😁 (Also, how fun wouldn't it be if you got to place stickers! And design said stickers like you would in Gran Turismo for the livery editor.)
@@nitr4mmedia You can actually place stickers. It's a bit rudimentary, and you can only place one sticker per brick face, but it's there. Most people gloss over that part of the building process since customizing brick colours can sometimes offer better results than the stickers available.
@@theflashthefastreviewerali8319there's a brick pack for the speed champions wheels in the emporium, also you could try to replicate the builds by customising the maclaren sets you unlock from clutch racington
@@theflashthefastreviewerali8319 try and use smooth surfaces on the body as much as possible, especially on the sides use the small wing pieces or other smooth accent pieces to create a curved look almost
