Creative Girls Rock®️ is excited to be a community partner with the Nashville Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMAnash) and Moody Nolan to host a free Architecture Camp, “Building Dreams through Creativity” for Teen Girls aimed to inspire and educate young girls about the field of architecture while promoting creativity, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
Through hands-on workshops, design challenges, and mentorship opportunities, participants had the chance to explore architectural concepts, develop their design skills, and engage with professional architects and designers. For the final project, participants designed a playground that will be implemented at the Bordeaux Collaboration scheduled to break ground Fall/Winter 2024.
Creative Girls Rock®️ believes that providing young girls with access to educational programs like our architecture camp is essential for fostering diversity and inclusivity within the field of architecture. By empowering girls to pursue their interests in STEM-related fields and exposing them to potential career pathways in architecture, we hope to contribute to a more equitable and representative future for the profession.
