Azure Cosmos DB is rapidly growing in popularity, and for good reason. Microsoft’s globally distributed, multi-model database service is massively scalable, fully indexed, and exposes multiple APIs. Throw in tunable consistency, a server-side programming model, along with 99.999% SLAs, and it’s easy to see why Cosmos DB is winning the hearts of developers and solution architects alike. Yet still, the change feed is one of the most overlooked features in Cosmos DB. This little gem maintains a persistent record of changes as they occur, and provides a reliable mechanism to consume a continuous and incremental feed of changes, as documents are actively written or modified to the database. In this session, learn how the change feed paves an easy path to build advanced event-driven solutions for replication, denormalization, microservices, real-time stream processing, and data archival.
