If you haven't seen the hilarious collaboration where Seth and I ride a tandem bike, I'd highly recommend checking that out next. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MH9zTVJJ_Yw.html
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the note about bedding in new brakes! My brake pads were replaced during my last tuneup and for the last few months my brakes have squealed badly while stopping and weren't working well. I didn't even know bedding them in was a thing!
@@SkillsWithPhil yup! but a tinny hill is better than no hill. I Live with Family and our backyard is flat like most. I made a small pump track for my Gf but we got a weird type of half San Half dirt so I layed down some hard rubber mats works all right. but nothing like this..
I love to see the camaraderie between my favorite bike youtubers. It really gives a sense of community and good vibes in this aspect of the sport. I don't see this in other areas of interest that I follow on RU-vid. Good on you, guys, and get better quickly Seth!
I know what you mean. I think Mountain biking is a social sport, and which leads to natural collaborations. I think other hobbies might a bit different. Seth is a really fun dude to work with.
My RU-vid mountain biking heroes.. Get well soon Seth⛑️. Happy to see more content from you, Phil.. You guys inspired me to get into this wonderful sport🚴👍
It's funny had a lot of the same things in our scripts without even knowing for example the 2.5 sets of hands thing we both wrote in our scripts without telling each other.
I'm imagining a real estate listing on Seth's house someday in the future: Lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, plenty of amenities, great kitchen, sick drop, lovely gnar, and beautifully manicured dirt track. Nice video kid, cheers!
I think my favorite videos are collaborations. Always good to see my favorite RU-vid producers come together and nice to see how they all help each other, which is a trait inherent in most mountain bikers.
I was wondering about the shovel slapping as opposed to using a tamping tool. Also, thanks for cutting off the clip of Seth hurting his shoulder before his scream. I heard it once, that was enough!
Well, one of my goals is to open up a bike park. I started my RU-vid channel with that in the back of my mind if it took off. Hopefully one day I can make it happen.
Always a killer time riding with you Phil. Hope we get to hit a trail together soon. The Mega Cavern was a tough way to start your first ride. Lol. Adventure on my friend.
Interesting suggestion, that's not something I've tried. I don't particularly like tamping things down anyway. I grew up building BMX dirt jumps, and a flat shovel is an extension of me now. :P
Awesome! Great Edit! you really do a good job editing your videos! I am always waiting for your next video to come out. Freight Train Shane! Seth Speedy recovery!
Your riding is always sick, you tackle those big backyard features with style. I'm sure it wouldn't be anytime soon, but it would be awesome to see you ride with Jordan Boostmaster sometime.
Always super excited when you drop a new video, there just a special (and very nice) feel to your vids! Very refreshing with your humble personality on RU-vid, especially combined with the mad skills. Thanks for being truly inspiring =D
:) I have been fortunate to ride with some of my heroes and the guys that got me into MTB like Seth, Alex, Bobo, Neko Mulally, Dakota Norton, and so on but not you yet next time you make it to Tennessee let us know your coming would love to ride with you bro!
Working with red clay in WNC it can be helpful to toss down an old carpet remnant, maybe 2x2, to act as a barrier between the dirt and the tool. I have seen this technique work very well. Great collab and so stoked you are back on the youtube grind.
Your production quality of this video was 1000% better than most of your videos adding big time to the enjoyment factor. Keep this up and I'm guessing your subscription rate will skyrocket! Nice riding too!
It's not that bad! I wear a hat most often and that collects sweat. My helmet did the same job (kept hair out of face) while being fairly while being pretty comfortable to build in.
Awesome vid brotha. Nice to see that Seth's trail system getting ironed out. Moss ya on Patreon brotha but you know I support you either way my friend. Hopefully you will be interested in making a Colorado visit in spring so we can hit some trails.
Patreon is back as of last month actually! We'll see about Colorado. The kind of videos I enjoy making most are the ones I can make locally. Traveling is really tough when you're trying to ride/film/edit.
@@SkillsWithPhil let me get back signed up with ya on Patreon then. Also, you make a trip here and you can crash at my place in Castle Rock brotha. Free internet and board brotha. I will pm ya my info in Patreon.
Hey Phil. Nice episode in the Chronicles of Berm Creek. You really did well to document your thought processes on how you decided on the changes that were made. I'm down here in Florida, not far from Seth's place. It'd be cool to meet you all some day. Although I sincerely doubt I'll be comfortable enough on the bike to do the Drama Drop or Sicnic table. Haha!
Not sure about the angles and what not because I'm not there. But it almost looks like you could build the sicknic table into a down ramp and make a crazy drop from the balcony
