Erm...this is like the best house building mechanics in a game i've ever seen. I really hope crown moulding / skirting boards have a similar drag-apply effect as I hated doing it manually in HF1. The ivy applied to the front of the house [at the end] really gets my hope up for similar applications for in-house stuff. I'm genuinely hyped for this over other games, it looks AMAZING so far.
looks like the building in Stonehearth, idk if you know that game, but it was basically a citybuilder were you built everything from scratch with the same block by block building here. I really enjoyed that building system. I dunno if they took inspiration from it or just had the same idea, but im sure its going to be great.
The level of customization options... insane! I'm a huge Sims 4 player, but I really only like building houses on it, & this is like if you used the TOOL mod for Sims 4 but as a gameplay feature. I'm ecstatic, that's exactly the kind of thing I want. I can't wait!

I think a good addition feature in house flipper 2, would be to be able to have doors that can freely open, so you can have it half open, quarter open or even a crack of the door showing etc 😊❤❤
i might be wrong but i think you will be able to do this (kind of). in the HF2 showcase q&a video there was a casual moment where they tried to open a window, but there was something on the windowsill. so it only opened partially, instead of going through the object (like it did on HF1) the window opened as far as it could and stopped after hitting what was in the way. hope that makes sense lol 😁
I didn't know about this until 15 minutes ago... I'm a little bit surprised that there hasn't been more hype for this game??? The sandbox mode looks insane. I'm glad that the release date is only a couple of months away, cos I can't wait XD
I really like cartoony style of this game! Especially since I have a slow computer so more realistic games don't run as well. I've always liked this simplistic style better.
This will be like the 6th time I build my own house in a video game but the first time I'll be able to get it at like 90% accuracy with the tools you've created for House Flipper 2. THANK YOU, they are awesome!!!!
This is looking so great, and the things we'll be able to do will be amazing. I can't wait for sandbox mode! As a HUGE House Flipper fan, I'm very excited for House Flipper 2!

Great showcase! being there in the stream, it was great seeing the new and shiny features you guys have added to this sequel, great and informative stream, you guys keep with this great work, cannot wait for the eventual release of HF2, will for sure be spending hundreds of hours in it building and flipping houses into homes! 😁✨
What they really need to do is allow us to “edit” already made houses so we can do things like addons to houses. And as someone else has mention FIX THE FREAKING BUGS IN THE GAME
I'm unbelievably excited for this game, but I hope HF2 comes with the ability to upload and share custom furniture assets. Access to unlimited furniture assets in the Steam Workshop is what keeps me coming back, and I still buy all of the DLCs because it's become a main game for me.
This looks amazing, being able to recreate my house and decorate it would be so worth the money, as long as I can resize the furniture, that's extremely important. When I would mockup home designs on the exhausting home designer program resizing was pivotal to making the program worth it, without it it's useless to help plan or experiment with home design. Being able to do this on a fun game would be game changing.
Incredibly solid foundation for a base game! These features are perfect for building upon in future updates and dlc. I hope that there's house build challenges like split elevation lots or narrow lots, but there's so much room for creativity!
@Frozen District Add in maybe some auto shop items such as a variety of garage doors, car lifts, toolboxes, misc tools and so on. I would say the same about any "shop" setup like vices and work tables with peg board variety. Bring in more landscape equipment such as riding mowers and hedge trimmers. A lot of us would love to build our dream setup of houses, bunkers, shops and its either this way or win the lottery. I can make a full on list of things that would be nice to be added in the future if the developers wanted to truly get some insight to the blue collar dream. That being said, my opinion of this game has been and still is an awesome game...not another like it. I have been fully addicted to the first house flipper and will be purchasing this next edition of the game. I mean is was awesome to begin with, and it looks like they just made this the coolest thing ever
Loving it so far but there's a lot you all didn't introduce in release. I wanted the option to move the house after having started building and i wanted the floor plan vew. I hope this along with diagonal and curved walls will come in a update.
It would be also really nice if you could actually build the house like in other games like "House Builder" (not so extremely detailed like that game) but that would be nice for the immersion if that's possible, I mean something like the hammer tool that is already in the game. Some tools do build this more rudimentary. :) Or maybe this feature as a dlc in future ;)
I hope we can make enormous basements. I like the idea of having a modest looking house, maybe even a little shabby looking. Then a huge multi-level basement. But yeah, if we're going to be able to share our creations... Can we make "before" flipper houses? Like, build a house, then fill it with broken crap and junk and dirty windows and stuff. Kind of like Mario Maker. Where you fill the place with stuff for the person to have to clean up. You could do environmental story telling too. Also.... DLC. I would love like, Fantasy (Think Elder Scrolls houses) Sci-Fi (Moon house? Space station house?) Horror (A big haunted mansion) and... Apartment building, or even Hotel. (Or Restaurant Flipper!!) Sea-Lab under the sea, and maybe Comic Book Superhero? Like, think, Batcave, Fortress of Solitude, X-Men Mansion, Could even go supervillain and create an evil lair inside a volcano!
Omg I can't wait for this! You have no idea how much I want to just be able to build a house right now! And for some reason the sims isn't satisfying that want 😂
Hopefully we will be able to share our maps and download others. This could really become something special. I also would like that whole house duplication button so we could create a whole town. Im so hyped!
My Dream House is like 200,000+ sqft, looks like the Palace of Versailles, has 7 stories above ground, 3 stories below, and has a full indoor water park, an iMax theater, a Broadway theatre, a rock-climbing room, a multi-story moon bounce room, an indoor airsoft island with forts , zip lines, and vegetation, a massive high tech underground bunker system, etc. Would I be able to build it with this?
More decorating the house for staging at the end. Or maybe, be able to go to other websites (home depot, Lowes) and Import images of furniture, appliances, etc. Landscaping around the outside the house, would be great! A lawnmower feature maybe?? Planting??
Wars Farm Flipper, the dlc for house flipper one, basically a demo of House Flipper 2 features? bc iirc you can build from scratch in that. I havent gotten that far but ive seen it on youtube.

I may have missed it in the video if it was discussed. But will there be the ability to build round walls. I want to build a victorain mansion. Like with the big round towers on it. Etc.
why does it look more cartoony then house flipper 1 (never brought sims 4 because it was too cartoony same will go for house flipper 2 if it ends up looking like sims 4)

Yea I think u should do multiplayer on sandbox so like your friends could help you build and u can have competitions with them and you could buy your own houses in the game like send them to the over version 🤷♀️
If Sims 4 had taken house building more seriously, it could have looked like this. Obviously, HF2 will come with its own frustrations and limitations, but if you wanted all the fun of house building in Sims 4 without the annoying 'Sims 4' nonsense maybe this is the answer..? I hope HF2 finds success. We need a chilled, accessible, creative house building software.
I can see this game as one of or the biggest building game in the world! also could you add the addition where you can rent it out so it can get dirty like the other houses
Would be cool to be able to build a castle with towers. Could there possibly be tools added that would make building round walls easier? And then putting things like windows on those round walls? Also what is the height limit?
Wow, I'm really impressed with the progress! This project is looking fantastic! By any chance, do you know what the maximum build height is? I'm itching to let my imagination run wild and construct a magnificent skyscraper! Who knows, maybe I'll even include a stadium area for sports and events! I was also wondering if there's any possibility of constructing a massive underground bunker that scratches the core of the Earth? Okay, maybe that's a bit ambitious, but a person can dream, right?
Have you run out of money? I'm trying to fir a picture window and I can't because I think I'm broke. I can't open my wallet so I don't know how much I have. I would have assumed sandbox mode had unlimited money.
I think perhaps we're looking at the next "Game Of The Year" I've been trying out Sandbox Mode, something I do before jumping into the main game. A couple of questions please. How do I open my wallet and get more money. I'm trying to install a large picture window, but the game refuses to let me buy. I can only assume I don't have enough money, which is weird in sandbox mode. My other question is, do we have to completely wire and plumb a new house. If we do, it'll mean cavity walls everywhere. Thank you, and back to work.
House flipper 2 definitely has more of a cartoony feel to it the original is definitely more realistic which I prefer but the features in 2 make up for it for sure
