I like how this is a sort-of set, where, instead of grabbing big boxes full of pieces there are bags with certain pieces and an instructions manual.

Haha thanks! I had to do that - break it up into sections so I could actually manage all the pieces and building it. Each bag (section) went hand in hand with an instruction PDF I created for it.

No set. Basically it all started with the bow. I kept thinking... "how to you make a decent bow shape out of lego?" - and it grew from there.

They want 800 for the titanic but you can buy a knock off set that's exactly the same for 100 bucks.... Lego definitely over charges is customers.

@@About46EwoksWell that knock-off set probably has like a quarter of Lego's quality, but I agree. Their sets are getting more and more expensive every year while the quality stays the same, partially even drops. I once was a big fan of Lego, but now it's just overpriced pieces of high quality plastic :/

I designed it to be mini fig scale. Basically if in RL - I see it as 1 stud = 1 foot. So if this were a yacht in RL, it would be 178 feet long haha.

I designed the entire model myself in Bricklink studio first (took about 4 months) - then I created some semi decent instructions to follow - ordered all the parts and built it. I'm revamping the instructions now to make them better as many have asked for them.
