Dustin builds his first brand new custom BMX bike EVER and his first bike in 15 years!
This is a special one because Dustin is the person who first got me into BMX. In the last 6 months he got a 20" bike again for the first time in over a decade. He has been absolutely killing it lately on his Fit Metal Eagle complete and wanted to build a custom bike with an S&M BTM XL frame. So here is the complete build! I feel like I'd enjoy building bikes but not one for me because I don't know what any of the new geometry feels like when riding so I'd have to ride a bunch of bikes to feel the geometry.... Building and testing bikes was what taught me everything about bikes so I'd want to do that again before picking my own parts. Edit: <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="480">8:00</a> - When I had people come to me for repairs and they didn't have a bearing spacer I would use the cutoffs from the ends of the bars to make a new spacer or if it was too thin I'd put tape around the spacers to hold them together... Just a little tip that might help someone. 😁👍

No paint job on any bike can beat the raw/clear and black parts

Always grease your seat post as well. I know you said anywhere metal touches metal, but you didn't grease the seat post. Putting a thin layer of grease on the seat post and wiping off the excess after its in will help out a lot if you ever need to remove it for any reason. This is especially true if you're rocking an aluminum post on a steel bike or vice versa. Don't want to chemically weld your seat post to your frame. Take it from someone who has done that very thing.

Flooring hammers work perfectly for installing a bottom bracket for those that don't use the press. Nice build 👌 And the springfield brakes work great
