It's nearly here! Join me to visit my brand new AMG G63 for the very first time on the assembly line in Graz, Austria. After getting involved in the build at the G Class factory, you just have to see the insane experience at the Schöckl mountain and what these cars are capable of doing too. It's been a long time coming but it's now only a few weeks until delivery, stay tuned for more soon.
How epic to not only be in the factory, but also to see your own car being build! And to top it all off: you actually did some tiny part of assembly yourself!!! Sush privileges you got there, Tim :) Thank you for taking us along the wondrous journey :)
What an incredible experience driving in that difficult terrain, the Mercedes instructors are really amazing they drove flawlessly in that road surface. Incredible machine.🏎🏎👍👍
It's video's like these that make the Shmee150 RU-vid channel stand out from all the other car review channels. There's reviewing a car in great detail, and then there's access to factories like these. You must be buzzing, Tim. Saw the new G in person myself, just yesterday. Immense step up from the previous generation! Congrats.
This is the best advertisement this vehicle can get if one is in doubt about making a purchase. It turns a very luxurious car into an utility car at once. Well done Shame!
It's a beautiful thing, I badly want one. Thanks for sharing this Tim. Can't wait to see your G63AMG with it's wrap next to the Senna, Surely the only two cars anyone would ever need!
It would have been cool if they let you drive it for the first time off that lift. The first meters. Also, this is why you are one of the most respected car youtubers. Maybe you dont have millions of views on every video, but so many car companies have so much respect to you to open their production line doors for you to see the cars come to life.
I am truly impressed with the abuse that the G-Wagon can take going up and down that hill. Those guys that get to drive it on a regular basis are having all the fun. :-)
Thanks Shmee for this hard-to-come-by off road video in a G Wagon. Your channel has now became a part of my daily life. I always dig G Wagon from the first time I saw it in magazine 25 years ago. Your fine work makes my life much more colorful in automobile world. I will be chasing my G Wagon dream at full throttle.
That was one hell of a road... And you got to see so much of the assembly line as well! What an amazing car, it's brilliant to see them in their natural environment. The G experience looks like a super trip, feeling the *G-force* and all that rocky road. That driver must love his job... I would like to see a Lamborghini Urus trying to do the Schockl!
Hey shmee, can't wait to see you out and about in the G63 AMG, especially if it is going to be towing the Senna or the GT Very nice spec aswell, Congrats on the car mate
It's sad not more people use their G wagons as they were once supposed to be used :/ Anyway can't wait to see your G wagon pulling the Mclaren Senna behind it 🤘
I know someone called Manfred. He was driving the first G wagon back in 1979 at the Dakar rally as mechanic assistant for Mercedes.40 years that a long lifeline!
This truck looks very capable in stock trim. It’s nice to see Tim get a taste off off-roading. This could add a whole new facet to the channel. Maybe attend some off-road events and do some easy trails, or do they not do any of that over in Europe?
Are we ever going to see Püppi in a video anytime soon! Completely understand if she just doesn’t want to be on camera, it’s a pretty big thing to do! Love the videos as always.
Your excitement whilst on the range was so much fun to watch. The G class most certainly rivals Range Rover, which is something I never thought I would say. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for your off- roader. I somehow don't think you will be putting it through such paces.
I'm starting to like the G-Wagon. The more I see it the more it grows on me. I always appreciated it as an off road weapon (totally reinforced by this video and those G500's), like I do a Defender, but then it became cool and a status symbol. Bad news in my book, much like how all Range Rovers seem to be status symbols. In the right spec (as non "Gangsta" as possible) I'm beginning to really like it.
I just got mine in dark metallic grey (selenite grey metallic) like the one in the background at the end! Except black AMG 22s. I can't wait to drive it!
I love how people are amazed, scared and excited by going on some bumpy terrain like if it was some kind of hard core offroad that an old suzuki samurai could tackle without any problem. Funny. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!
Been there 3 or 4 years ago and it was quite interesting- big rocks, steep inclines up to maybe 100%. Not sure if a (stock as the Gs were stock) Samurai would handle that. I think You need some HP and tire size for this kind of track. Maybe a very good driver would be able to drive there in a Samurai but on the other hand my nearly 70 years old father who never drove offroad was able to make it in the G.
I'm not a fan of the g500 even less the g63. I find the idea to put the engine of a supercar in a refrigerator. But i have say, i respect the fact that you will use it to its full capabilities!
Amazing stuff over that tough terrarin. How did they not just drop to pieces? That's some serious hammering they took, and they probably do that day after day for the experience tour!
Wow! I love this adventure. Hope to join you in future boy. Like you were praying for the tarmac while in the horrible bumpy road. Nice video. Wish u well.
I'm looking forward too the Shmee mobile after 2ztching what its actually capable off . The way the car handled on the steep mountain incline was unreal going up but even better on the way down loved it Cheers too you Tim 👍
Now that was an experience for sure. I’m betting very few “G” owners would take their personal vehicles on that road course but it is nice to know that the engineering built into them is fantastic. A lot of money for an off road vehicle but nice to know it can take it if you can.😳🤭
Back in 2009 there was the 30 years of G celebration in Graz and all G owners were allowed to drive their cars on the Schockl mountain. This they are celebrating the 40th anniversary but unfortunately MB failed to organise any similar celebration...
It is amazing how they you access to some things that we would never have seen otherwise. Really cool for them to trust you to be in and around there. And also taking videos! That is really interesting.
"hi guys rich boi here today I'm outside the german depreciation automobile plant and am about to go inside to see shmeemobile #63 being built and no it's not *_MSO CERULEAN BLUE,_* lets go" *[catchy intro intensifies]*
Shmee.... Some how RU-vid has taken you back in time! Publish date says "Published Feb 26, 2013" on my screen right now!!! OK now back to the good stuff!!! The Video was Superb but the OFF Road part was Brutal indeed! but Breath taking to watch!!! that is truly a Beast of a Vehicle ! Luxury and Power for the Most Rugged Terrains. Can't wait for your videos with the truck.
always a treat joining the #Shquad as we take a closer look at the assembly of your various rides Tim, thanks for the behind the scene peek! looking forward to the next ride along with you all, til then take care eh! 8^)
