You've caught the uncut bug for the benefit of us all. It's great to be "behind the scenes" with you as you navigate the business and build... dreams. *Thanks James!* (Strapped in for the ride from Portland Oregon :)
It’s great watching the behind the scenes channel as it has started its own journey, it is a massive difference in style and content but more enjoyable in some ways having a laugh with friends is what it’s all about and people relate to this and the main channel is more informative and visually epic but both are really entertaining and compliment each other equally
Timelapse videos of the construction at certain intervals would be very cool. People love seeing things getting built. You never get to see an automotive atelier-level facility being built, just the finished product. Obviously you aren’t going to point out all your security, but the walkthrough of the facility in Switzerland (I think) you did where you showed all the special fire suppression and insurance requirements was fascinating.
Could you use the handover bay as the place to park the customers' car while specking their colour? Use the adjacent room to sit with the car behind the glass, setup that room like a manufacturer's area they use to spec their new car, with all the colour samples etc. I love how creative you can get while designing the shop. Again, remember your tour of the Carage building and use ideas from that. It was amazing.
That´s not a small dream build James...wow that´s a lot of work but in the end it sounds like it´s going to be a great place to work at for your employes, Logic and a really nice customer experince. It´s going to be really fun following the uncut channel from now on. Good luck with the build James !! Best from Sweden !!
I quite liked hearing what was going on when designing and dreaming up the space. It almost seems like a near impossible task to go from a blank canvas to the dream with a budget. Especially when you can consider all the different spaces you want to create, but you want most if not all of them to be amazing for the customer
Loved the video, it's not often that i leave a comment but just wanted to say that i love when the uncut channel delve a bit into your "business" life as I think everyone wanting to afford the latest cars has to get money in and for that having insights is always amazing Greetings from France
WELL GOOD MORNING James, yorkie, AND VERY good morning to you HUGH , thank you ,👍👏👏👏 , FOR helping James, with his new warehouse 👀 looks like a great project ! can't wait to see all the beautiful car's in the warehouse it be great ✔✔ WELL James , regards you and your family have a great weekend ,! 🖐 to your dad , and regards to Hugh, AND family You a a great weekend as well, c u mate
JWW FAN for some years now, and following the uncut channel since day1 (actually only subscribing today!!) I find myself more interested in the uncut new videos than the main channel ones...love this unseen aventures. The bunker 2.0 will be 💥💥💥💥💥
At the edge of the wash bay, don't make any lip at all- Dig a shallow trench across the entrance to the bay, with a drain. Place an iron grating across the trench. No reason to have anything but a smooth floor across the entrance to the wash bay, I would think.
This aint just for your benefit, James is secretly crowd-sourcing ideas with this comment section. You know it! "For in a multitude of councillors, there is wisdom"
Loving the uncut content. I know funds aren’t unlimited, but how cool would it be to have a catwalk around the car storage area, so long as no one drops anything on the cars.
Behind the scenes doesn’t necessarily involve cars and thats what i love about this channel. James himself is a huge factor in why I watch this channel no matter what is filmed. Keep it up buddy. 🤝🏼
The free flowing format of this channel is so much more rewarding for the viewer than the usual channel. It will be kind to your wallet James. Great decision to open this channel.
The space looks amazing James, it could land up being the most incredible destination IF the budget allows, but it’s going to cost plench- you need to go all out !!
Here is an idea. Envision a large panel with three portrait-mode screens, displaying media from your remarkable past work. Videos of customer, if allowed, and own cars showcased on excellent OLED or more budget-friendly QLED panels.
This is IMMENSE James! Epic! Pure theatre! What an incredible space. It IS a blank canvas, and what superb touches you and Hugh have in mind to transform it into a space that transports your clients into an automotive experience custom sculpted to fit their personal dreams and build them into reality. The uncut channel is a gem. DDE done good!
Installed garage equipment as a profession. Your wash bay should be outside and a detailing bay should go just inside the door, no need for unnecessary expense or a rake on the floor. For low cars you’d fit an in ground scissor lift for a flat and flush finish. He keeps referring to groundwork being expensive but I’d say it was more cost effective and saves space throughout. You also have to consider concrete depth and condition when installing ramps etc
I enjoy watching all the behind the scenes stuff. All the hard work an thought that goes into what turns out to be an amazing creation. Just fun to watch get inspired by. I’m from Northern California so it cool to see the car culture from the other side of the world.
Wonder if the spec room and lounge could be the put in the same space then that would give you a area upstairs for future expansion in production/office space (it might even make the customer dream of what paint and car he will do next)
an amazing undertaking. cant wait for the following video`s for the step by step work and the main channel video`s are brilliant and your Collab videos with dde and nico and all the rest of the brilliant people that you get to meet and interact with and not to mention the jealousy that you bring with all the amazing cars that you get to drive and the places that you get invited to
I loved watching this! As an aspiring automotive business owner myself, I love to see the behind the scenes talks. Especially the before hand workings, of what will ultimately be an amazing shop. Great stuff as always James!
Depending on who owns the building, wash bay: dig it out, put in the lift floor level with built in floor lights. Celling lights, water proof and hanging. Cheap way, relevel floor with drainage, no floor lights (use portable) Wall paint, no glossy too hard on the eyes after 2 hrs lol, (unless they buy wear your sun glasses James :) LMAO One room, (space), at a time. As long as it does not interferes with the rooms around it hehehehe Really looking forward to more of the Dream Garage planning vids, so I can say NO wrong color OR yes love it but! :)
Feedback on this? Fabulous! It's fascinating to watch the ground-up development of a project like this. It will lend a greater impact to the final reveal and also be a phenomenal piece for Equus' showreel. Keep it coming!
Looking forward to seeing this develop, super cool to see how you’ve grown the brand and partnered with some real players to continue bringing something special to the market… not just social media
I’m so happy to hear about these plans James!!! When I first saw the Bunker 2.0 it was so sterile, ordinary and boring like an oversized storage unit. Knowing now that it will carry forward the brand from 1.0 makes me really excited to watch the evolution and visit some day. Garage builds are way underrated imo, and nearly as fun to watch as the car builds!
While the RU-vidr mindset would not want to film this interaction, such experiences are what give the audience a better sense of being a part of the “brand” and thus, we end up subconsciously heavily invested into the whole journey
I thought i had my hands full for been self employed in Architecture and 3D printing and automotive 3d printing and setting up 3d printed casts for jewellery, this is a hole massive level, where do you get time for you. Its really like when my family owned a car dealership which is another business you have times 1000%. James go for it for the first time you have everything in house watching your own cars been worked on and stored plus your investments as well i wish you the best of luck with it all
Great to see the thinking and planning of your future environment, makes great content for your channel, as per the previous comment please do not put a fake racetrack in !
James.why not an extention in front. Entry underside wash and straight to garage or turn for futhure detailing. Flow of things. If yours and from scratch u need as few compromises as pos na?
11:35 just install two sets of electric sliding doors, one glass for daily use and one solid for reveals and filming. On the bay side they can match the wall, with timber or what ever and on the other side it could be a logic logo.
If you want to spend money the doors could have a led screen on them and then you can have have there car brand logo and how the car used to look on it.
spiral staircase for a fire exit? what about making the space accessible to all ? i know we've ALL seen the ford GT with handcontrols on the ring if we're on this channel Just a thought you know ?
I'm so glad you said this! I don't want to appear to be the only 'racetrack' hater in the comments! Really does remind me of those kids play mats... But then again 'him' being a child, well, sort of goes hand in hand! 😂
James love It thank you for everything you do Followed you from the start Your the best Ps loving your blue barbour jacket What's the style code of jacket can't seem to find it Can you help Tim
Oh God I can only imagine how much he's gunna cost you in permits or whatever there called out there Hope all goes well I'll see what I think by end of video
Does the opaque films/glass become solid enough to have images projected onto it? So that when you are in the lounge doing the spec, the car in its original state is on the turntable behind the glass, the new spec version is projected (in real size if possible) over the top on the opaque glass then you can switch on and off to refer to the "old" & new versions. You can then do the reverse of that when handing the car back to the customer ... as in image of old car projected ...until tadahhhh ....glass clears... doors open to reveal... etc? Not like I've thought about this or nuffink!
