Building my first Ranch! (The Sims 4 Horse Ranch) 

Hey All! I've uploaded the ranch build to the gallery under my name "Deligracy". It only uses basgame and the Horse Ranch expansion - so console users can download too! I've also added a basment with nectar already aging. Some harvestables were also planted by my sims to help get you started! Currently rewatching the Barbie LP and I'd love to see how it would go now, with Deli being more experienced with the game and the vast array of content that's now available from packs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've notice that Deli's last LP's have been exploring specific packs and I think rebooting an old series would be a fun (and nostalgic) way of exploring the game as a whole!

I’m so amazed at how the kitchen of all the rooms looked! I love how you did the double flooring, and styled it in such a way that just works. And I never thought to put columns in the centre island. You did so well building this lot!

Is anyone else planning on building the dad’s house from The Parent Trap with this pack?

Deli u should use this house for the growing together/horse ranch family. I can totally see Clover being in the bright bedroom. All the sims living there apart from Perspeine (I can see her moving into an apartment in the city it’s more her vibe). Also if it’s expensive u can “sell” the current house and I think Dee Dee and Monty would help out with money. I think it would be so funny to see Dee Dee on the ranch cause I think she and Monty would move closer to Yazmine 😭😭😭 x

You’ve really outdone yourself with this build. It’s not at all my style, but it feels so so cozy and lived in! It reminds me a lot of places my family stayed in for holidays in regional Victoria! I love it

I love when houses have little catwalks/open landings above a downstairs room like this! My friend's parents had a hallway with stairs and little open landings like this and it was so cool to see in real life 😁

Ahhh! You can have it all! Dog training area as a kennel, cats, hens, cow, lamas and all the new animals! Foxes! Rabbits! The log with birds and a poooooond! Omg my mind goes bonkers for this!!! 😭🤣🤌😍😍

This is the most beautiful and perfect Ranch I’ve seen so far! Love that your buildings are always well thought out and playable without any problems. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

Should add all the Cottage Living Animals to this lot as well. Make room for 2 cows, 1 Llama, a couple of chicken coops, turn on the Fox challenge.. add a couple of the horses, a few of the sheep and lambs, a dog and cat.. get that farming going with the harvestables. lay down some planters and get planting all of the things, and lay down some of the harvetable grass/hay for the horses.. Maybe a family of 3 or 4.. with all the horses, dog, cat.. maybe use mccc to increase the family size perhaps up to 12.. When I download the pack tomorrow, I will look for your build.. and do what I do best.. RENO.. LOL But I think you have a pretty nice build here.. good job.. I really loved the walk way on 2nd floor.. great idea!! Now we got to get you to do a Ranch Game Play with you and James and the family dog in the game.. maybe have a kid or two in the game.. that would be super cool..

Yeah, my parents al wys said they were windbreaks and I always thought that was so cool as a kid... Like they lived in a cozy, protected dell safe from the wind :)

It's really refreshing to see a fellow Australian do builds - when I watch American sim creators I can't relate to their builds. It was nice to see a build that I would see around where I live 🥰

Deli, this is absolutely phenomenal. I was looking forward to building a ranch for my legacy family, but now I'm thinking I should use this one. Blown away! Also, you're not the only one who gets excited about cleaning products. I own 4 different mops. Lol.

I don't think anyone has ever complained that the sky and the grass don't go together color-wise. lol That is the most fantastic house ever!!!! Now I want to play Sims again. When they changed from Origin to EA or whatever they did, all my games disappeared. So as soon as I figure that out, I'm going to buy the horse pack. Got to play this!

In South Africa we'd call it "die Dominees se sitkamer" which essentially translates to the priest/reverent's living room. Since they do home visits, you take them too the nice room...

In a lot of barns there is what’s called a tack room for storing saddles, blankets, pads, lead ropes etc

I haven't finished the video yet but two things! Firstly I have clouds on my ceiling, we painted them when I was probably like 4 or 5 and they're still there. Can confirm it's super cool and I love it even as a young adult. And the other is growing up in where a lot of the 'wild west' stereotypes come from I feel like I have been in so many houses that has the interior decorated Just like this haha

Interestingly, in the US we have ranches in the midwest and ranch-style houses in other areas. Ranches are large farms where animals are bred and raised. Ranch houses are single-story homes with an open floor plan. They can have an L or U shape. Makes it confusing when looking online for inspiration.

First of all, this build is AMAZING!!! Second of all, I don't know if you noticed while editing, Deli, but there are some sounds from you computer. mouse sometimes, I think. It's pretty loud at 10:27 till 10:37 for example. Not really an issue, but I am just telling you, so you know!

Deli I would absolutely LOVE for you to build a British style farm in Henford-on-Badley with horse stables and mini goats/sheep added as well as the cows and chickens! Full farm experience 😍😍😍

I had a window in my bedroom overlooking the stairs/entryway when I was a kid. It was a pretty cool feature. However I am glad we moved before I became a teenager, otherwise I think it would have bothered me, cause even with curtains, it's not so private. =)

This is BEAUTIFUL! This could be a great ranch for children and teens who have mental health issues or are struggling with school so they need more support. This would be sooo perfect!

6:04 They’re popular in Mexico, and central and south america as well, “Ranchos” or “Haciendas” in spanish. There’s a lot of telenovelas (soap operas) with like a ranch theme lol

WONDERFUL video! I was a horse girl --no actual horses , too poor for that, but grew up in TX and devoured every horse series in the school library: The Fury, The Black Stallion, Black Beauty, Paint the Wind, etc, etc, etc....:)....Can't wait for the gameplay!

I never really play prebuilt houses and watch for inspiration, but I'm downloading this lot asap, minus the horse stuff, and probably as a shell. I've been planning to move my legacy family! Love it!

YESSSS my immediate thought were "omg they listened to deli on the wallpapers and floors!!" this update is HUGE this might actually be the first pack i will buy on release, especially because cottage living came out around the same time two years ago and i wanted it so bad for my birthday but could barely afford food 🥲 this ranch is so beautiful too!! at first i thought its going to be the new house for the growing together family but the price tag is way too big hahah but that only means we get another new build right? hehe

i keep thinking of mcleod's daughters they also called the farm help, for station hand. i always wondered why that is. but now i do. i really love the houses in that serie, why not try and build that. this reminded me of harry´s house

The trees are for privacy! We have them surrounding our in-town house in the midwest US, but many many farms around here also have them just like you said
