I shall order this kit, looks like a fun build for the new year... still have a few other builds on the bench but what is one more eh? 😛.. hmmm RC conversion if not allowed for in the kit instructions a ship this detailed needs to be given water time.
YÊÊÊIII ! DKM Prinz Eugen ai last! Hope the exrtra infos will be useful. Check the dimensions on the deck planks. They are wrong on the kit. Will be following. Good luck and keep up the good work.
I would hate to see the number of exacto blades that were sacrificed in the making of this kit. I would never have the patience for something that complicated.
Love this kit Alex! I will eventually build it. I'm starting out small with the Palamos first to get some time honing my skills. Have fun and thanks for another great video my friend!
Amazing job Alex once more! Thanks for sharing and let me say this kit and one of the Bismarck are perfect to put side by side. Whit the two you have the ships who participate on Operation Rheinübung.
Incredible work…your skills and expertise are amazing as is your patience. Really enjoyed your earlier video builds and I’m sure this one will be another master class! Great start.
Well, I wouldn't say any American, just probably 99.5% of us 🤣 There's a large portion of Americans that stop at the 4 letter word segment of English vocabulary.
Looking forward to following your build of this WOOD Model Kit. One issue I'd like to make you aware of is the DECK PLANKING. I'm pretty sure that the wood deck as referenced in this kit is COMPLETELY OUT OF SCALE! The planks should be much narrower and more complex in layout & contour!! Look into the WOOD VENEER decking sheets that are available from PONTOS for the 1:200 Trumpeter Kits of Bismarck, Hood, etc. Please do some RESEARCH on the deck planking plans for Prinz Eugen! Trumpeter makes a 1:350 scale kit of Prinz Eugen and PONTOS has a Wood veneer deck available at that scale. Even at 1:350 scale it's obvious that the deck planking layout is different (and more true to scale) than the OCCRE Kit you are building. Also, please look into the AMATI 1:200 Kit of the BIsmarck - there is a lot of information (and RU-vid build videos) on the AMATI 1:200 Bismarck. AMATI supplies LASER ETCHED WOOD VENEER DECK for their kit. I think OCCRE REALLY "DROPPED THE BALL" on the decking portion of the Kit you are now working on!! Please, please check out RU-vid Videos and other information on the many 1:200 scale kits from Trumpeter, Amati, etc. You will see what I'm talking about here, I'm sure of it! It would be a shame to see you invest your time and amazing modeling skills on this OBVIOUSLY INACCURATE (OUT OF SCALE) part of this OCCRE Kit. You are a superlative craftsman and your videos are informative and inspiring! DOUBLE-CHECK the DECK PLANKING - please!
A hobby should be an escape from the seriousness of life and I'm a firm believer that there is no right or wrong way to fun. The ship's looking great, I'm not great at working with wood but I think I'm going to have to pick this one up. The quality of the kit should overcome most of the lack of quality in my woodworking skills 😅
I can't wait to see the rest of this series. I really like the background music you use. It's a very relaxing video. And I think the rain just added to the video. Keep up the great work.
Olá Alex, estou a ver que os veleiros já passaram e agora está num cruzador dos pesados. Parabéns pois este também é bem bonito e as dificuldades devem ser as mesmas. Continuação de um bom trabalho. Abraços
