Great i finally found a kiwi i can follow doing what i plan to do when i get land . So many tell me you cant do it. I guess the hardest part is getting the land . Liked and subscribed
Thanks I appreciate it. I guess most people aren't prepared to sacrifice some comforts, the way I figure it the land is more important. as long as your warm and dry while building the longer term plan, the house/cabin can be built over a longer period to your time schedule and budget.
Nice setup, those systems are really good, I have the old MK1 ESS system, the one you have is way better, we have 8.4kw solar paired with 19.2 kwh batteries hybrid system, little over 50k 5 years ago, your living the dream, waiting for your next video, take care.
New subscriber here from across the ditch. Good looking system, although in the winter months those panels won't be making as much as they are far to flat, they need to come up to a 45 degree angle or more to enable maximum efficiency in winter, I am going to make my two arrays adjustable using 3 car scissor jacks tied together with a shaft so that the panels can be tilted up to 45 degrees in winter and back to 25 degrees for summer, it's all about the maximum efficiency you can get when your off grid. Food for thought.
@@LivinglandNZ yes once you start using tools and other power suckers you will need those extra Kw’s, how big are the batteries in KWh’s? I have 25kwh of batteries here and we have had such bad weather lately here in Victoria Australia they aren’t getting cycled, doesn’t help that my backup diesel generator has stuffed up…
We’ll done Chief! Really good feedback on the batteries and your system We just installed our system this weekend too We’re using the growatt inverter with 4 x 5kw batteries Hopefully it will go as good as yours
I've heard mixed feedback about Star Link. Could you tell me how its working and if you have any issues with your connection dropping out. I suppose any internet is better than no internet.
Hi I'm doing the same thing as you just wondering with solar system is it easier to get it installed then add to it after got internal walls up etc .thanks
It will be easier to do everything in one go while there is no lining on the walls. But yes you can add on afterwards with wiring etc, just will cost a little bit more.
