I’m sure they do! They’re super involved and willing to learn, and I bet they brag to all their school friends how cool their dad is and all the projects they get into!
@@capticapti204 wish i couldve done the same. my dad was more of the "hold the flashlight and point it here while i get pissed off" kind of teacher lol
I'm 20, and I think this was just about the best example and demonstration of how to be a good dad. Hope I can do the same for my future kids. Keep up the awesomeness!
Father's Day was invented for dads like you. You have not only become part of your children's life you have also made them a part of your life....... AWESOME
Way to teach your kids the work involved in making stuff like this and showing them valuable life skills they'll use throughout their lives - too many kids these days have no clue how to work with their hands, other than to use a phone or tablet. Can't wait to see the kids full jump line, bet it'll be super fun for them.
The kids don't know it but years from now they'll be building something and think about the time dad showed them the little tips and tricks and they'll smile inside and out. There's no better feeling.
Despite only being fifteen years old, I have now spent over half my life without a father figure I always wanted to have someone to help me and teach me like you are doing with your kids. But I'm also grateful because I got to learn and experience so many things riding bikes. It is so amazing to see what you do, and your kids will grow up to be amazing riders like you are. Keep up the amazing content :)
Hey Eric I'm glad to see the channel is getting a lot of traction. Everyone should go back and watch some of Eric's older stuff, I highly recommend Forgotten Trails of the Lost Sierra
Man that was such a pure vid. Love it when people take the time to teach rather than just do. Exactly what my dad did (and still does) with me. Never stopped smiling all the way through this vid. They’re gonna be two stellar kids
I had a dad that was a politician. He was never home. If your kids dont appreciate what they have IN A FATHER in you i dunno what ... maybe my own jealousy at 43... just AWESOME and wow. Its incredible that you get to share your passion with your kids. And its fun to see their smiles running back up the ramp they built with their dad... mine would scream if i laughed while he was building... you make a point to laugh. Sorry, killer video. . . He says crying.
Good on you for involving your kids in the build process. That's what I've been doing on all our projects at home. Everytime they pitch in, reward them with a brand new quality tool, and slowly build them their tool box that will last a lifetime, along with the skills to use the tools.
I hope that there is no people in the comments right now telling him that’s not how you do it he’s just having fun teaching his kids how to build stuff:))))
this is so awesome! i remember how excited i was when my step dad built me a quarter pipe for the backyard. I can only imagine having a backyard to grow up on like this.
I work with my dad here in Australia as a chippy and the way he taught me was definitely not as nice as your teaching them !! Good on you man 👍 you're a good teacher :)
I met Eric once and he seemed like a really kind and down to Earth individual, it was cool because I was a young grom and I had seen him in bike videos. I was trying to learn no-foot cans that day, and he kindly gave me feedback to try to raise the odds of me being able to do them. It's awesome to see him now, having evolved into a epic and unique father, with a son who seems like a really awesome soul! Your guys's backyard looks like a labor of love! This video was inspiring!
Eric you inspire me help build dirt jumps and little berms and stuff at my local nature park. So many kids have progressed greatly from when we started building then. Keep up the awesome vids
I love how your kid is wearing a helmet while you are building it. That’s very smart and I’m guessing it’s you or your spouse that told him to do it so good job 👍. You’re good parents 😊
Your one of the Best dads ive seen My dad lives in USA and I live ind denmark i havnt seen him in 8 years so i havnt had the feeling of a dad in a long time. It makes me happy to see that
Those brackets are usually made to be used with framing nails instead of screws. It may now seem like a big difference but nails can handle a lot more shear force than screws which are more brittle. Enough force and that bracket can easily shear the screws.
"Think 3 times before you build once!" Wiser words have rarely been heard on RU-vid!!! Same words may just be applicable to real life! Both kids need their own channel. Separate personalities, different perspectives. Natural born youtubers! 👍👊👊👍
