In this video SINGLE STOREY EXTENSION BUILD - BLOCKWORK UP TO WALLPLATE we see our extension build project progress ready for the steel beams. Joe is back on his favorite bt engineering brick saw cutting ytong blocks for slip bricks.We see Alex time lapse laying blocks and installing padstone on which the steel beams will be set.John makes a plywood template of the steel beam profile to cut rafter timber. John uses a router and jigsaw to cut rafter ends to fit steel beam.He does a quick test of Joe's new bahco superior saw then we crack on with with timelapse cutting timber. John then remove door frame and shows you how to install acrow props or strong boys. He can then remove brickwork to install a steel lintel. Joe is then installing cavity closures to protect the insulation from the wet weather and lastly John trims down some more timbers for rafters for flat roof.
