Such a beauty!!! Excellent work!!! Nothing over the top, just nice and natural. Great realism, love it. This scheme is wonderful, just US Army Air Corp for a change!!! WOW!!!!

Thanks GOD. Glad you're back to youtube again. I found your channel 2 years ago where your clip is very good for a novice like me.

Thanks for the video of your excellent build! Your attention to detail really shows in the finished model. One minor correction: the armor glass behind the windscreen was constructed with a metal frame, finished black, so that it could be attached to the windscreen frame supports. Thus, the armor glass edges were not visible, but the black metal framing was visible. A side note to this: the gunsight was a two-piece arrangement with the projector bolted to the cockpit floor between the pilots legs, and the projector screen was bolted with four bolts to the windscreen. It was found, that if the armor glass was mounted "square" with the windscreen, distracting gunsight reticle reflections would appear on the armor glass. Therefore, the armor glass was installed at an offset angle to the windscreen, eliminating the unwanted reflections. To alert the pilots to this offset, so that they would not line up the a/c with the ground/horizon/other a/c when flying, an angled white line of slightly sloping triangular form was painted along the bottom black metal armor glass frame, as a visual guide.

I have one to build as a homage to John Belusi in his role as Wild Bill Kelso in 1941.

You show Tamiya xf-62 and xf-57 for the upper surfaces. Did you mix them? Or is the xf-57 for post-shading?
