The series I've been waiting for! Being an aircraft noob, I'm really going to follow this closely. My masks arrived today and the paint should be here early next week. I was going to do it OOB, but after seeing this, I'm seriously considering such things as Green Stuff, wheels, and engines; this wikk be a lot of fun!

I have the very same kit in the mail, so I will follow this build closely.

Thanks for all the tips - especially regarding the resin wheels. Got some from eBay, so that will be once less trial!

Jason, engine louvres are open on the ground. Aircraft engines are designed to be cooled at operating conditions; at altitude and fast airspeed. On the ground or taxiing, they require augmented cooling. Open louvres for prop-wash to provide airflow.
