Thank you. As you say on your vids: "Follow your bliss, na life is short..." I also wish I can speak Twi fluently. Each time I try, the tendancy is to utter Ewe words and intonations. A bit more serious since my mom was born and buried in Akropong. Thanks for tuning in.

Can you give me the name of the company who did your flat roofing?
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 4 года назад
Hey bro, thanks for tuning in and thanks for the question. There is no company name to provide at this time. In late 2018, I awarded the masonry, ironwork and formwork jobs to a gentleman who passed away earlier this year. He had a sole proprietorship entity called ETS BEZALEEL. There is a new lead mason to finish the masonry jobs. The electrical job is being handled by a hands-on electrician. The plumbing work is being performed by a hands-on plumber who came recommended. Each brings in construction workers as needed. They have been working on the structure together. Therefore, there is no contracting company for the concrete rooftop. There are skilled workers in the disciplines listed above.

Never seen this want to see the end....u should be lifting up the rebar so it stays in the concrete and not under the concrete....the rebar is meant to hold the concrete

Hi just subscribed to your channel my question is once you have made your foundation gone ahead and screeded /smoothen the foundation can you lay partition walls or you have to leave it rough to lay partition walls
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 3 года назад
Hello, thank you for subscribing. Happy to have you here. The answer is yes. Depending on your plan and building technique you can begin laying partition walls as shown in this vid -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UxB-gX6o56Q.html Best to consult your engineer on the appropriate approach for your project.

Did you use any type of damp roof for roofing slab? New to the channel. Your videos are cool.
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 2 года назад
Cool @Villageboydee...thanks for tuning in. No damp proof for the rooftop at this time. To mitigate cracks and leaks in the future, measures will be taken to coat the rooftop with a sealant and covering. The particular product may have a bitumin based membrane, yet to be determined. Good question, thank you much!

Great video, how many cements bags have you used for the roof only?
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 4 года назад
Thank you and thanks for the question. Rooftop area 164 m2 Hourdi blocks 101 bags (50kg per bag) Pouring concrete slab 195 bags. Please note that the rooftop is supported by beams below. Again, thanks for the question.

Interesting work. What are the dimensions of the slab they are constructing? How many cements did they use and the mixing ratio. What is the size of aggregates they have used to mix the concrete? Lastley, what is the design strength of the concrete they have used? Am gaining a lot from your videos.
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 4 года назад
Thank you for the questions. Please note that I am the maitre d'ouvrage and not the engineer on this project. Neither am I a construction professional. However, I'll share enough data for you to draw your conclusions. For the mix ratio of cement, gravel and sand, please see the mixer scenes in video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MgDoPuwUi_0.html Building The House 32 - Pouring Concrete Roof Here are some additional approximations: Hourdi block 60cmx20cmx15cm. Thickness above the hourdi surface 7cm (not inclusive of rooftop slope) Area 164 m2 9.75t of cement (provisioned) Sand 12m3 (provisioned) Gravel 25m3 (provisioned) Cement at 350kg/m3 In your calculations, please do not forget to fill in the ribs between the hourdi blocks then tuck on 7cm. Again, thank you for the question. Please, do come again.

Hey bro, i've been watching your videos for a while now. I like what you do, Kudos to you bro. Pouring concrete on decks used to be something i did a lot during summer breaks(summer Jobs) years ago. Great job bro and i can't to see it all come together!

Love this - please what made you go with flat roof vs sloped roof? Im wondering why you didnt do flat roof with metal sheets and you used concrete? I'm at lintel level and have decided I prefer flat roof (instead of the initial sloped roof architect drew for me) however would love to know your reason?
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 4 года назад
Hello Delia, thank you and thanks for tuning in. Plan is to live on the rooftop too. Polytank for water is on the rooftop now. Later, a gazebo, sitting area and bar for rooftop living. Original plan was to continue current stairs to the rooftop. I stopped construction of current stairs to the rooftop because it would block natural light to second level. Rooftop will be accessed by a metallic spiral staircase from the rear. That will be installed later. I hope this helps. Good luck on your project.

@@AyiviTV Ah excellent- ok a rooftop deck is what I had also planned!!! Someone told me its possible to do with metal slabs but would prefer concrete tbh. I have a structural engineer coming out to make sure all is in order before we continue! Many thanks and pls continue the good work!!!! Love your series!!! Ayivi TV Thats how many plots?
@AyiviTV
@AyiviTV 4 года назад
In Togo, 1 lot/plot is 600 sq m. 15m x 40m is 1 lot. Therefore, it is narrow in the front and long on the side. Thanks for the question.
