Hi @JADOK Plus, thank you. Great to hear from you. Agreed...we had frequent and oftentimes heavy rainfalls up through my recent visit. Cement waterproof works well. Waterproof cement (Sikalite) was used earlier to screed the sentry box rooftop and to build the platform for the polytank. Waterproof cement, if applied properly, is pretty effective in preventing water damage. Was in Lomé and away from YT for quite sometime. I hope all is well with you and family. Hi Sir Bright, thank you. I hope all is well with you, your family and projects. Happy to be back and thanks for the good question. To drain water, the rooftop was constructed with gradual slopes from the center towards the perimeter/all sides. Along the perimeter there are draining holes that channel rainwater to a hidden well in the backyard. One such drainage hole can be seen on the floor in this video, beginning at 19:47. Welcome back. Very educational video. How do they may rain water flow to drain pipes without any perceivable sloping to the naked eye, must involve an enormous amount of skill, precision and attention to detail. Do you have drainage on all 4 sides or just on one or two sides of the building. I never noticed the drains in this video.

Hi Omil, thanks and thank you. Good thoughts...I pointed a viewer to one such drainage hole on the floor, beginning at 19:47. There are several drainage holes on all sides. If you look closely, you will spot them. The slopes were established by the masonry work during casting of the concrete rooftop slab. One of the reasons why debris and loose particles have to be removed, is to maintain the integrity of the slopes even after waterproofing materials are laid evenly on the surfaces. It is very delicate work. The waterproofing was done right as evidenced by proper drainage after the rains came. Omil, I appreciate your thoughts, comments and continued support 🙏🏾

Hello @Lassey P, you are welcome and thanks for tuning in. Yes. You can tile and in fact you can build on the waterproofed surface. Regarding the artisans, there were two (2) different crews of artisans in the video. The first, worked on most of the surface area. The second worked on the 25cm band all around (perimeter).
