Being a Star Wars nerd my whole life I finally decided to pick up one of these metal kits to add to my collection. They look challenging at first but its basically like origami with metal. Awesome video man cant wait to build mine!

So glad u made this video. Don’t know anything about these model kits but my wife brought home the same thing from the dollar store of all places. Only a buck what a deal rt. Just hope I can do a good job half as well as u have. My older age, eyes and fingers may have a issue but will try to build it soon when get the time. Looks interesting

One of the connection pieces for the top part of the dome (piece number 4) broke. Now the dome won’t stay down. Update: piece number 6 went flying off when I cut it so I can't find it. Lmao. Last update: after a few days I just gave up. Lol. Thanks for the help anyway.

Just ordered this on amazon and I never built any metal earth models. Do you have any tips on how to not over bend, mess up, break etc?

Star destroyer may not be the best for a first model. You need some needle nose pliers, tweezers and Metal earth actually sells tools. You’ll also need flush cutters to cut the pieces from the tree. Make sure you get pliers that are smooth and not have teeth on them.

CT-5736 Bladez yes! This is what I started out with. Also check out RU-vid channel animateorange. He builds a lot of these models and walks through how to build them step by step.

Do you use 5 mil or 4 mil gloves

I believe they are 4 mil. I use Gorilla Grip Disposable Nitrile gloves from Home Depot. They are $5 for 40 and I like to use Large when I can because they are tighter then the XL. If the gloves don't fit tight, it will make building a bad time. I bought this three times because each time piece number 5 broke in the middle fold and on the fourth time i finally broke it on the side flaps lets go

Hey bowloflettuce This model can be a little bit frustrating especially with some of the smaller details like the back. Metal Earth though is really awesome and offer replacement parts for anything that might get broken. I don't work for them but if you give them a quick shout out through their email you might have yourself a nice fleet. I hope my video helped in some way and thanks for watching.

No come on you got this! What part are you stuck on? Don't forget to take some breaks and if you do break any pieces it's just a matter of saying hi to Metal Earth and they will replace them for you. These can be a little bit daunting at first but trust me it's a great Hobby :)

Thanks for the video but instead of acting like a surgeon operating on something as uncommon as a Trumpist's brain, an historian dealing with the 1593 First edition of Venus and Adonis or a philatelist who finally got his hands on the British Guiana 1c magenta, could you just, pretty please, crank up the volume!!!???
