Hi guys! Your building looks fantastic I am writing you from Nicaragua. I am currently stableshing a dairy farm. I often look for help online and found of yours proyect. I was wondering if will be possible to obtain some guidence to build a parlour next to my barn. Would be possible?
Not at all, PVC sheeting. I am not sure where you are based but we had if from pureclad who installed it aswell, I think wynnstay sell it too. A mistake we did do tho was to render the pit, if you are going to use sheeting it is more economic and better to glue it directly to the concrete blocks.
Cawley Farms Dairy Iam based in south ireland. planning on starting a new parlour ere soon aswell. ah thanks for that it looks very well and easy washable dose it wear well? any things in general you might/would have done different. looks a top job
well. if you have say 100+ cows. 1 man would have to work 24/7 to milk them by hand. but with a good parlor with lots of milking maskines he can milk a ton of cows and still have time to eat-sleep and clean the parlor.. yes milk prices have dropd becouse there is more milk produced than what is needed... but if you are going to produce milk, its best to do it EFFECTIVE. saving labour costs
So...5 years later, are you still happy you invested a million or more into this? Are you even still in biz? Just imagine, instead you could've invested in real estate, got a 6% yield and after 5 years a 50% return on capital. Why do you guys still do this milk commodity producer thing? It's totally nuts from an economic standpoint
KidDoes British Farming why are the hell do you get up at 1.40 how many cows do you milk and also I only get up at that time to check cows during calving
