This is so accurate. Family homes usually don't have perfectly coherent themes and are kinda just all over the place. This build perfectly represents that
When I first saw the fountains that come in the pool kit, I instantly thought, ‘ wow! I bet Syd will love those! ‘ bc I remember you did a build, actually multiple builds, where you make your own super cool waterfalls!
I love this. Could you build a large Residential Rental of Mount Olympus, home of the gods. I have this idea of Greek Gods landing on Sim Earth and pulling similar shenanigans as they did in mythology, including spreading their DNA. Maybe have an underground world for Hades and Zeus and Hera could live at the very tippy top of the build. Just an idea, would love to see what you come up with. You're an incredible builder and I think big projects are where you really shine. Thanks Again. 😊😉🐝🌈
The riviera kit and bistro kit are making me really want to see a riverside cafe build! Maybe you can do a cafe build & try to run it (I don't have the sims so I don't know if you can run a cafe like you have with the restaurant....)! Also absolutely understand the crappy basement thing....

Love the added anxiety lore about the pool changing room 😂 I was the same it just gave hidden camera \ no lock high traffic to me growing up but its also a innocent nice thing to have.

Everything on the first floor from the walls and the floors, the study, the kitchen, and the living room reminds me of old money mansions like the one in Atonement; especially the puppet area for the kids. But the basement reminded me of that 70s show. And the top floor parents' bedrooms were like b&b rooms.
The Crappy Basement needs to be trademarked 😂 sleepovers in friends’ basements were definitely a thing and the strongest memories I have are eating so much ice cream I thought I was gonna burst and watching way too scary movies 😍

There were lots of crappy basements in my Canadian childhood. Concrete floors, lots of toys, a pile of laundry, old musty furniture, a tiny tv and video game consoles.
no but growing up i loved going to my uncle's house because he had a basement that was all concrete and support beams and insulation and it had a bunch of stored stuff and gym stuff and the gaming system and I loved being down there. just curled up in a corner by the sliding door (it led into the backyard) with a blanket and a soda and my DS. crappy basements are awesome.
Omg my basement was the wood paneled and pink shag carpet room filled with dejected furniture and the gaming consoles. Every epic sleepover ever!!! I related so much to your rant it made me happy nostalgic 🩷🧸
I think the cool thing about the new rock fountains, is that there’s water already coming out of them just from build mode! With the normal fountains, you have to go into live mode to see the water/make the water appear! So I think it’s a pretty nice detail for them to add for those fountains, that you can see the water just from placing them!
I also always play with the Sims 3 camera controls on. When I first started playing Sims 4 I rage quit very quickly because they changed all the controls suddenly when they made Sims 4 to be completely different. I was happy when I found out about the camera control options because Sims 4 was just unplayable without it.

Love this build! Mine are mostly boxes with windows lol. I know in your CAS videos you usually decide their personality after you make the sim, but i just downloaded the chingyu 100 traits pack (plus a bunch of other random traits it got a little out of hand ngl) and i thought randomizing the traits and trying to create a sim that fit them might be fun.
I love when you build family houses! Could you please do every room / tiny house is a different country or every room/ tiny house is a different subject? Or something to do with hunger games or my little pony💜
I think the play/puppet room is my favorite part of the house, as well as the exterior. It was so cozy and cute! 😊 As always your builds are absolutely beautiful, you’re so extremely talented and massively creative!

i live in florida so we couldnt have a basement but we certainly had a big unfinished attic. it was mostly storage but it definitely didnt keep me away. the weird haunted bathroom was also right next to it too 😭

I've said it before and I'll say it again, please for the love of my sanity (not that you'd care but I can still trie right), put those small curtains at the BOTTOM of the windows. like they do nothing at the top, they're meant to go on the bottom for privacy whilst still being able to see out. anyways psa over, love the build regardless, syd never misses
Totally awesome! I’m not getting these kits because I’m annoyed with EA/The Sims 4 team for making these new payable items when the foundations they rely on (e.g., dine out) are so broken/bugged. They should make the bistro kit a free gift to those with Dine Out to apologize for how mess up it is! That aside, here are my build ideas: - Studio Ghibli themed village or tiny homes - Each room is a Greek god/goddess - Making a base game save file where you fix all the lots - Randomly picking one of your previous builds and either allowing yourself to make improvements without any restrictions or adding a new restriction (from a wheel) - Building your dream home - Making tiny homes for followers’ Sims based on the Sims’ appearance/likes/dislikes - Ranking your favorite/least favorite builds (could be done at the end of the year) - A q&a or similar to introduce people to you and your channel (obvi with only info you feel comfortable sharing)
