Almost done! I still need to do a few things, but it's coming together pretty well. A few more days and I should be able to give it a try! I spelled Dave's name wrong it's "Morelli's Tactical Advantage".....Sorry Dave!
I’m north of you outside of St Maries at about 3000 feet elevation they tell me I can a lot of snow but I’m from Wisconsin so I’m used to it buy the way I bought a pistol kit from you a couple of years ago
Thank you!! I just hope it does work!!! It's been fun to build, but I really should be working on my leatherwork. This is taking longer than I thought it would.
It sure is purty looking and looks awesome, your sure hope it works comment made me laugh a little. I've got a pretty good idea that you are going to make it work out well for you before long. Been enjoying your build and thank you for sharing Gary.
Wow its getting close I like it your ideas and and materials used good job yeah that will make traveling those slick roads a-lot safer that road up above your place looked like it could be a scary one if it was slick thanks for your videos they are entertaining as all get out GOD BLESS YOU
Looking really good!! I think I would definitely use the brake since you already have the parts. Just incase your throttle sticks wide open. They have them on snowmobiles and this is pretty much the same as stopping a snowmobile i would think. She's coming along really nice though.
I probably should. Like you say, I already have most of it. Finding a cable long enough to work is a little hard though. These aren't usually very fast, so it might not be needed, but I'm sure I would use it if it was there.
@@MuskratOutdoors yeah just incase throttle sticks. I've made long cables before with small brake line and just run cable through. Just use small cable that you can buy by the foot and a piece of small brake line. I know its metal on metal but you probably won't use it much and flare ends so there is not a sharp edge that cable can wear on. And I just use those little cable stops on the ends. Not sure what you call them but cable goes through small hole then you tighten a small screw to hold cable. I guess there just a small cable clamp but not the u bolt kind. Hardest part is the cable hooking to brake lever but I see you definitely got some good fabrication skills so I'm sure you can figure that out. I can't wait to see the test ride and see you using it out on the line. I thought about making one a few years back when I first seen them.
I'm excited to see how that works out! You didn't skimp on anything throughout the process. It looks well made! I think you made the right call with the handlebars in not using the lawn mower set too.
Thank you! It's actually been kind of fun to do. I wouldn't mind making another one someday. Trouble is finding the parts to do it. Maybe after I've had this one awhile, I'll figure out what's good and what's bad that I would do different and make another.
Wow! That's a bit chilly. The only time I've been it that much cold is in Alaska working in a salmon cannery.....in the blast freezer! Hurry in, and get out again. The coldest outside temp I've felt was -30F.......no fun.
I thought about that. I might use it. If nothing else, I think it needs a roll bar. Sooner or later, it will probably tip over and I don't want anything to break if it does.
Hey you almost exactly the same lawnmower as me sitting in the background! Mine ain’t running don’t have the money to fix it needs carb work and whatever else 😂
That green one or the grey one? The green one is supposed to run, but I can't get it to. The grey one has a broken part on the mower deck I need to fix.
@@MuskratOutdoors the green one mine says weed eater on it but it is identical to that one from what I can see! Mine is supposed to run but needs carb work and a rubber gasoline and battery and who knows what else all the underneath looks good and it spins by hand underneath so it ain’t froze up there atleast, well not counting the snow and ice it is sitting in right now 😂
You've made good progress! Really looking good. Can't wait to see you drive it. Are you keeping track of how many hours you've put into it? Best wishes Brother!
Thank you! Me too. I just hope it works! No, I haven't kept track of time or cost. I guess I should have. Most of the parts were scavenged, so cost isn't very high, but I have spent more time than I had hoped on it.
very cool muskrat went out yesterday took a drive and let my dad watch me dial my ar15 in he was happy as can be he likes it it was fun to get out of the house
Maybe make the engine adjustable to slide in slots to keep chain tension tight or loose maybe just saying ..are you planning on chasing wolves with that thang .. be careful driving that.. don’t get stranded in bear country or a blizzard .. be safe
Mr Muskrat just maybe another separate plate that has longer slots that would go with the slots you have original .. I ain’t never built one of those .. just trying to brainstorm the idea if it helps
It is. One was killed in one wreck. Another time a Land Rover rolled off, but all were strapped in and nobody was hurt too bad. That still amazes me, that anyone could survive that ride. Last winter, that wood cutter rolled off the edge. He survived too!! I don't want to try it!!
@@IdahoHillbilly Dang....that's rough. I wish I had known you back then. That's only a mile or so from my house......and I was living here at the time too.
@@BadassWeldingVideos OH!! HA! No, I don't. Cell phones don't work very well in the mountains either. I do worry about breaking down, or getting hurt. I do carry survival type stuff along with me though.
@@jimmymunkholm You're welcome. Gearing is kind of tricky. I've changed mine several times now, but I like it now where it is. A lot depends on the length of your track in how fast it will go. Mine has a pretty long track, so this gearing works for it. A shorter track, and it might be too fast. Here is a link to a gearing calculator.....if you tube doesn't remove it. They don't like links! www.bmikarts.com/Go-Kart-Gear-Ratio-Calculator-Jackshaft-Setup
