I AM SO STOKED FOR THIS WILD BUILD! Rotary 13B S15.... leveled up with a DCT! I think we might be building the best rotary drift car on the planet. This is going to be a MASSIVE project, so I've teamed up with the guys at ‪@DriftHQ‬ to bring this vision to life. Building the World's First anything is never easy... but it's gonna be INSANE!

Excellent work Collete! You did a great job on those welds for being a beginner. Keep practicing and you'll be a pro in no time. Keep hanging out with the Drift HQ guys as well. They work like bulls and could teach you a lot. Welding is one of the most satisfying experiences to be had out in the shop in my opinion.

@matty hill_Drifts Yes, she does have other rotary cars. The point I was making was shes tapping into her inner Puerto Rican because we love our rotary engines if we could, we would put a rotary in everything.

Love seeing you keeping it up and doing things yourself. I recently finished the complete 3 rotor playlist where you did everything yourself, and now you are in an environment with so many experienced people that could do everything for you, but still keep on getting your hands dirty.

Pro tip if you are shaving a bay ect an trying to weld holes with a mig/tig get a block of ally an put behind/in the hole so you can’t/won’t blow though… the ally will just get dumb hot 😂

At first I was screaming no you can't do that to a s15, but hey its different and that why we all build cars, there is no one way to do everyhing!

Tip for welding holes , hold a piece of brass behind the hole. Weld will not stick to the brass, makes life easy

Mig is easy but I'm glad that I learned it last myself, think I became a better Mig welder that way. Community college Gas weld, stick, missed Mig section(sick), Tig. Then with that experience I later learned Mig on my own, when I bought one years later. So easy!

As someone who knows how many regulations we have for welding where i live. Cricket really needs to get some exhaust fans or a full mask set with a breather and filter. Everything about welding is producing carcinogenic fumes and holding your breath is far from enough compared to popular belief. I love the build and cant wait to see it finished, but please stay safe welding!
